I couldn’t say, but I personally prefer rings over mounts and I still have probably 7-8 sets of Badgers and just shitcanned a set of Nightforce steel that I bought used with some questionable lapping. I like the option to add a dot on rifles that might see competition/ field use but I’m likely an outlier.
Yeah, that's fair. I put dots on pretty much any rifle (short of something that already has an eotech as a main optic) and like the ability to run a weapon-mounted LRF on anything likely to be used at any kind of distance. I've got an older Badger 30mm mount on a large frame gasser and have the longer front pic rail for it (not the diving board but still seems to fit an Impact 4k) but would like one of the older ring caps they made with the pc rail at 45 degrees, it's just nicer to have the dot up higher for use with nods vs down on a 45 degree offset. Likely an outlier as well, haha.

I wonder if there's much demand for new ring caps for old Badger mounts. I don't really need another project but I'm tempted to get a buddy with a machine shop to make me some, haha.

Why do billiards have a women's division?
Chess, checkers, cards and pool don't require any strength advantage to dominate.

Why allow someone to compete just because they feel a certain way.

It has nothing to do with men or women's sports, it has to do with coddling someone with a fucking mental disorder, fuck that, maybe a few male family members will start showing up at these events and treating these delusional fucktards to an ass whipping, then they'll have something to complain about.

Would upgrading my suppressor or optic help more?

So I'm looking to upgrade either my scope or suppressor for my 6GT build. Right now I have a Specwar 762, looking at a Scythe Ti that would be shorter, lighter and direct thread instead of using a muzzle device and QD. My current scope is the new Gen 2 Athlon Midas Tac 5-30x, and looking at a Gen 2 Razor 4.5-27x or something similar (that's the max budget). Which would make the biggest difference for someone doing light competition shooting and slapping steel at long range just for fun?

CDG, 737r or Fuzion for PRS build

That super smooth glass hotdog in a polished hallway feel is great until it’s full of dust or mud. I have three impacts and I’ve run them in Oklahoma and New Mexico dust storms and snow storms and down pouring thunderstorms and all combinations of the three and I’ve never once had the action bind in any way. I think that is the point of the “sloppy” feel. Hand fitting is great on a bench gun and shit when the going gets tough. But then I also have no idea what the “hitch” or “clunkiness” people are talking about is either. And I almost always run my bolt much slower than seems likely.
That’s interesting. I’ve heard plenty of impact shooters say they don’t care about the hitch, or they run their holt fast enough to not notice, but I’ve never heard of anyone denying its existence 😄

Athlon helos 2-12 alternative

Tl;dr: Looking for an alternative go fast reticle/scope to the Athlon 2-12

I was settled on an Athlon helo 2-12 for a dmr scope for gun runs, dmr and a few PRs matches but all the mil versions are out of stock everywhere with estimated replacement of Oct 25.

It looks like a gen 3 razor 1-10 has a similar reticle but at 3x the price and I’m worried about FOV during PRS. There is a Leupy mk 4hd 2-10 in the classifieds with a good price but tmr reticle.

NF nx8 line can be had reasonable, but again lacking that useful reticle at low magnification.

Any thoughts at around $1500 or less?
They have the MIL version on Walmart.com for 449. Just thought I'd let ya know.

Is the March FX 4.5-28x52 my new ZCO?

I have several March optics and they are excellent.. In fact the March Genesis scopes ( 6-60 and 4-40) has some of the best glass i have seen against any optic!
March,s support in Japan is also excellent...they take feedback from the end user very seriously ....and are always prompt to respond..

They take a hell of a lot of pride in their products. . Check out the packaging .....
How do you like those Genisis optics, pretty novel what they came up with. EELR indeed :)

U.S. Army/Navy/USMC M14-based sniper and DMR/SDM rifles circa late-1960s to late 201Xs

Thanks for posting that picture. I have one of the same Marine w/ same M14 DMR rifle, but I didn't know the date & place until now.
What is interesting re that DMR rifle is the non-standard scope and rings. Not sure what scope that is, but it's clearly not the standard issue Leupld Mk 4, fixed 10x scope that used GGG or Badger Ordnance rings. Looks like a quick release set-up of some sort.

Looks like a backwards installed (based on the side with the QD levers) Larue mount to me. If it’s a 0moa model mount, guess it doesn’t matter what direction the mount is then.

Dillon 550 only- Tips, Tricks, Process Q&A thread .

I've got an assortment of old modified Dillon (with the UniqueTek upgrades), various iterations of the Whidden, and now a couple Armanov. All with a variety of seaters, from Redding to Whidden to Forster to LE Wilson.

The clearance issue with the Armanov comes from their use of an Allen head screw rather than a roll pin, and it's a bit taller than it really needs to be. *IF* you run into clearance problems, my first fix would be to shorten that Allen screw. If that isn't enough, I'd go to the hardware store / Amazon and find a headless Allen screw of the correct size/pitch.

I've got analysis paralysis on this deal.

Don't make it harder than it needs to be.

Member here put me on these this morning. Not what you’re looking for but this will work for me. Ordered a set of a
1.5 lightweight rings and this ring cap this morning. Going to re-do the mod0 w/32mm NXS with these and try a couple comps.

I wonder if there's much demand for new ring caps for old Badger mounts. I don't really need another project but I'm tempted to get a buddy with a machine shop to make me some, haha.
