Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

Firehouses around here = Bar, kitchen, many Tv's, pool tables. pinball/arcade games, lots of couches and recliners. Some setup so nice they rent them out like catering halls. Keeps them ready to respond and away from the wife. Often, not counting strip malls or the Home Depot type buildings, the firehouse is the largest building in town. They're out of control.

We operate out of a converted grocery store we bought with money borrowed from a bank.
We installed the doors, raised the ceiling and other stuff needed ourselves
We do all our truck builds
What we recieve from tax dollars barely pays for insurance and fire hall electricity.
We hold fundraisers to pay the bills to keep the doors open to drop what we're doing to volunteer our time to fight fire when the page goes off
We are not the same

Nyent 11 whyit you botherin me

Because almost no one ever calls it that, people know “the 21 foot rule” in all the training I’ve been to and years around instructors I’ve never once heard anyone use the guys name. A lot of people who don’t even go train have heard the term “21-foot rule”.

People aren’t automatically stupid for not knowing a term that’s rarely ever used

I explained it. They were enlightened.

Australia bans machetes

Next will be banning hands. That would be as hands can be made into fists and fists can be used to kill people. So, off with everyone’s hands (except the rulers because they need their hands to sign new, restrictive laws to keep the populace under control)
Australia was founded by criminals, maybe not such a bad idea! :ROFLMAO:

How about testosterone? Eliminate toxic masculinity once and for all.

They could have deposit boxes that look like Kamala Glory Holes, for you to drop it in.

Suppressor with a brake on it, does it help or not?

None of the braked cans are going to provide less shot disturbance than the best brakes. It’s silly to think otherwise. But if you can get halfway there with none of the brain concussing and otherwise obnoxious side effects that are inherent to brakes, then to me it is well, well worth it.

My Dead Air Nomad TiXC with the Recoil X gen 1 brake and my RXD30Ti are both quieter to my ear than my Ultra 7, if that gives you an idea of how effective they suppress. That was my gold standard can for years.

Maggie’s Felon smuggling 200+ guns and selling to gang members

He'll do his time in Virginia.

Its not as easy as it used to be. Many years back, Virginia was known as a 'gun state'. Blacks form NYC would come down to Greetop in Ashland/Richond, about a mile off the interstate, and but 20 at a time, take them back to the city, sell them, and be back in Va. in two days for 20 more.

FN SPR A5M XP?

I might see if it has any spare mags and go from there. Might offer 1800. I’m guessing when the barrel goes tits up, it’s a bitch to replace?

$2,500 is way high. I'm with you on $1,800 if NIB and he can keep the scope.

Those barrels are going to last a while, but any gunsmith who works on Win 70s can do one for you. It requires no voodoo.

schmidt and bender ultra short vs minox zp5 3-15

I don’t have experience with the zp5 3-15 or the zco 4-20 but I do have a zp5 5-25 and a zco 5-27. The zp5 glass does edge out the zco on clarity, resolution, and color, but everything else about the zco beats the zp5. The zp5 has the worst turrets I’ve ever used and it does have one foggy spot near the edge of the glass which is pretty common in these scopes. They also had tracking issues in their early days. I would definitely not pay MSRP for one they are not worth anywhere close to 3500 even in their current state. They are improving, but buying a discontinued model is going to be hit or miss on whether you get a good one or one you’ll be shipping back to Germany to get fixed.

I would not count out the atacr 4-16. It might be my all time all around favorite optic, and is definitely the nicest scope NF makes. More expensive doesn’t always mean more better. Nightforce seems to have defied physics with that optic. Its glass clarity isn't as good S&B or Minox, but it’s not far off the ZCO and is good enough for me to spot 5.56 impacts at 650+ yards. It has great low light performance, excellent mirage performance, extremely forgiving eye box, and it has by far the least top end mag optical degradation of any other scope I’ve used. It also is lighter than any of the others.

I’ve been behind TTs and honestly have never been able to see what you’re paying for over a ZCO. That being said I haven’t spent a significant amount of time behind a TT so someone who owns both would be able to speak to them more.

My biggest gripe with S&B is their mirage performance is atrocious. I’ve been behind 3 and own 1 and they’re garbage when it’s hot out. ZCO and nightforce blow them out of the water on hot days. S&B is almost unusable out west when it gets over 80 degrees and/or you’re running an uncovered suppressor.
If your ZP5 has bad turrets and a smudge on the glass, why don’t you send it in for repair?
