On the second part- you're talking about the testimony of Kiri Jewell, who left the sect with her mother long before all this went down. It's definitely better than no live fire at all but there are nuances that training with a dramaticly different cartridge won't provide. Training is always better than no training but training with the exact equipment you're going to use is always going to be the most effective.

I agree that using the same cartridge is better, but due to Range requirements and cost, that would end my competitive shooting. I also work out at home and save the membership cost. YMMV.

What bullet weight? I’m using Retumbo for Berger 190s and it is getting near 3000 fps in a 30” barrel. SDs are a bit higher than I prefer, but results on target have been very acceptable.

I find in my stronger positions I’ll out shoot CCISV at 100. Even a good practice day in the low standing and low kneeling positions give me tight groups than CCI will shoot. Almost all my practice is on paper though, so I know where every shot goes.

For most of us, a custom action, especially in 22LR, is very expensive luxury. The market is also quite small, compared to other shooting markets. When it works poorly, that has a huge negative impact on possible sales. I get the “just be patient” vibes, but once they take the $$$, it’s past a friendship situation.

You said you are shooting higher and then said you are using hold overs to get to the zero. Did you mistake and mean hold under?

If you did, do you know how to zero a Razor III? You loosen the single Allen on the elevation knob(red arrow) with the knob at 0 and locked and then use the screw on the top(green arrow) to make the adjustments and get zeroed. Then you tighten the little Allen again. They give a little tool in the box for this. Windage is done the same way.

No I already had a BCG to use so i ordered just the barrel. So far it is looking promising thought. The first 20 rounds out if the barrel was a 87gr vmax with a random charge if varget that was fairly mild it printed three 5 shot groups back to back just over 1/2 moa.

You hear a lot of reasons why the AI wasn't picked. Too heavy, too expensive, supposedly one trigger failed ect. I bet a lot of politics and money were exchanged under the table on why the Barrett was picked. Even look at all the other new contracts being rewarded. Sig wins most of them and I think most of the new Sig products are junk.
