Muzzle threading Tikka T3 lite

Got an older T3 lite 6.5x55 I gifted to my Dad 15+ years ago. Dad has bought a bunch of rifles since, he used it for 5 years or so, probably has 1000 rounds through it. He bought all the grandkids t3x 6.5 Creeds, but decided to give this one to one of my kids.
Problem is my son relates sound to recoil. He'll shoot my suppressed 6.5 Creed all day, but his brothers unsuppressed 6.5 he says kicks horribly.

Was going to have it threaded 5/8-24 for a can. Started thinking about it, wondering if anyone here has had any experience. Worried the hammer forged barrel might go to hell accuracy wise.

So would you roll the dice and thread it? Or should I just suck it up and pay the $800 for a re-barrel. I think there was a guy in Bozeman area doing pre-fits but I can't remember who it was.

AXSR AICS Chassis | Will AW Mags "work" better? Impact trigger hanger interference.

Just picked up this awesome AXSR chassis for my Impact BA. I've learned to expect fitment issues with these trigger hangers so here's my question:

The chassis has a "magazine stop" if that's what it is called. I removed it because the front of the trigger hanger interferes with it. My single stack mags feed flawlessly - no issues at all. However, without the "mag stop", a little upward pressure on the mags place the feed lips in front of the bolt and it cannot forward travel. Not a big issue, but I am asking if AW double stack mags and their different feed lip geometry would allow the bolt to pass over?

I've had some custom builds where upward mag pressure touches but does not impede forward motion of the bolt, and one or two that did, so this is not new to me. I had AW mags a long time ago, but my 6.5cm rounds kept springing out into the dirt so I switched to single stack ever since.

Precision Rifle Gear Which chassis?

I’m selling my KRG W3 and looking for a chassis that checks certain boxes. My goal is to have a chassis under 2.25lb to shoot NRL Hunter lite division but can be weighted down to ~7lb for PRS and 22LR competition.

My barreled action, trigger, scope, etc weight in at 9lb 5.2oz so pair that with an MDT mountain bipod I’ll be at around 9lb 10.8oz.

My current plan is the XLR element with smokes carbon fiber buttstock. I’ve also looked at the new MDT LSS gen 3 but am not sure I can get the total chassis weight under 2.25lb. The modularity is intriguing though. I’d like MPA but even the Lite is too heavy. Vision makes a hybrid which seems very similar to the element but doesn’t have the ability to add internal weights. Unltradyne is the same issue, no internal weights. Any other suggestions?

Night Vision No longer for sale

Selling a Halo XRF for a friend. Operates as it should. Was his main scope for 1 season and backup for 2 seasons. He is an NVISION dealer and the scope will be sold as a demo with full warranty. Comes with a bobro mount.

SOLD FS/FT: Cabela’s Intensity LR 4-16x44 Scope w/ Mount

Selling an old scope that I had on a 22 AR. It’s a Cabelas LR scope 4-16x44. 30 mm tube MOA turrets and reticle. SFP reticle. I use MRAD now so no need.

Mounted in a Cabela’s single piece cantilever mount. No trades unless you have a Vortex Diamondback scope with MRAD, would be plus cash in my end.

$200/obo, buyer pays shipping

Firearms Christensen Ridgeline Carbon .300 RUM

Christensen Ridgeline .300 RUM

At only 8.5 lbs, this is a great backcountry, big game hunting, precision cannon. I took this bad boy on two successful elk hunts and they both dropped in their tracks. Haven’t shot it in years, time to go.

RCBS dies
200 pieces of fresh Norma brass
23 pieces of 1x fired Norma brass
27 pieces 2x fired Hornady brass

I don’t remember the exact load data I used, I had a knowledgeable buddy helping me with it and he did most of the work, but I have five unfired cartridges that can be deconstructed if you so choose. Around 100-120 total rounds fired.

$1995 for the full package

Will separate as follows:
Rifle: 1650
Die set: 175
Brass: 360

PPFF, Zelle, or Venmo (no fees).

Potential partial trade considered for Leupold Mk5HD or Mk4HD with PR2-MIL reticle only.
