I have a mega arms billet ar15 receiver set that I will be building into a 6mm ARC with a 24" +2 barrel. I'm looking for see what handguards other people have used with the mega billet uppers. I'd definitely like to find at least a 15" maybe a 17" handguard to either come right up to the gas block or cover it. Bonus points if its a flat top but not required.

I picked up a Barrett and need to stick some glass on it. I will be shooting it suppressed.

My question:

Regardless of brand etc, I can't decide if I should go 5-25 or 7-35 on power. I've shot lots of rounds suppressed in other large calibers 1000+ yards, in most cases after a couple rounds the mirage makes using anything past 20x difficult.

I want the 7-35, but in my heart feel that the 5-25 is the correct answer. Looking for information to nudge me one way or another.

I bought a new Schmidt and Bender 5x25x56 in march I had it on mt 300 Norma Mag .I had what look to be water spots on the inside of the glass .I contacted Schmidt and Bender in Virginia .The service tech sent me a UPS label I sent it back.the first part of June.The scope was clear again no problems.I mounted the scope on my 6.5 creedmoor I started breaking the barrel in on my rifle.I had 100 rounds through the rifle.I was back to the range Friday morning I looked through the scope a big circle in the bottom right of the scope and a small one on the left side .I contacted Schmidt and Bender again in Virginia .The tech said Germany had changed the type of lube they are using in the scope.They started having problems with spatter on the glass.So now my scope is on its way back again.The tech said my scope was the second one he had seen with lithium grease spatter on the inside of the glass.So if you get a new scope and it has spatter on the glass call Schmidt and bender.

I have 329 (+/- a few due to counting errors) pieces of once fired 6.5 CM Hornady brass. 200 pieces came from Hornady American Gunner ammunition with the balance coming from factory 140 gr. ELD-M. All were fired from the same bolt gun (RPR). The brass is mixed together. Casings are de-primed.

• Unfired (other than factory), Knight’s Armament SR-25 Advanced Precision Carbine Upper Receiver take off upper from a factory complete APC.
• URX 4 handguard and Knights 3-prong open tine flash suppressor. This upper produced a 0.877” inch grouping in its July 2020 test fire at Knight’s Titusville factory.
• The upper has been safe kept. It includes the test target and the complete Knights SR-25 operators manual. KAC irons not included (have been utilized on another project).

Please note this upper is a rifle take off, will ship heavily bubble wrapped in plain box, but not in a white KAC box.

While we were there, we found a Ryobi bundle that included a small drill & driver combo as well as a small circular saw & a light for something like $150. They also had an accompanying bit set for... around $50 or so. So for under $200 we walked away with a nifty toolset for my wife. Comparatively we spent as much replacing the trash and recycling bins that the wind apparently swept away. All in all, not a bad pickup.

I've got an old paddle board Ruger M77 Markii in 30-06 and would like to modernise the chassis.
Just after any ideas from those who have done it or are in the know?
I've looked at Boyds, H&S precision and Bell amd Carlson. Does anybody have any experience with these stocks or any pictures to help envision what the finally product may look like?
Any assistance, ideas, recommendations are appreciated.
