Starting to build a nrl light rig. Already have a carbon and lighter steel 6.5cm barrels for my zermatt Ti3 or TL3 actions. I really dont much like chassis for light rigs, and manners pro hunter/lrh is longer LOP than I want. Trying to sort a stock.......

Just a quick review and pictures of the completed work on my STI Edge by Vulcan Machine Werks. I spent quite a bit of time looking around at shops before deciding on Vulcan, so maybe this will be helpful to others.

In short I am very happy with the work done on my STI. I had stopped shooting it as much in favor of my CO pistols and after shooting a friends MPA 2011 with an optic I decided I wanted to look into getting mine cut. Unfortunately because of the very low cut STI made to fit the original dawson adjustable rear, most standard red dot cuts would not work due to the amount of material available. Eventually my research brought me to Vulcan, who after discussing over the phone with one of their machinists, said that they were not concerned due to their plate system being compatible with the older STI slides and they had done many others.

After 14 weeks, I got the pistol back and the results are exactly what I wanted. The 1/3rd cowitness backup sights are solid quality, but sit nicely out of the way. The SRO looks great and shoots great on this pistol and I can track the dot during cycling. This gun was always phenomenally reliable beforehand, and the work rendered hasn't seemed to affect this (only had time to shoot 300 rounds through it last weekend).

Moving along my placeholder action. Lilja barrel, chambered in 300WM by Red Bull Armory. RR prefix action, Timney hunter trigger (if you don’t want this I’ll drop $75 off the price). Has some wear and a few dings on the barrel but looks the part. Round count ~25. 6-48 scope base screws, bolt serial doesn’t match the action (but is the bolt Red Bull built the BA with).

I purchased it a while back and was going to use it for my XM3 kit but realized it was the incorrect one. I believe this one is what they considered a ratcheting model. It is 3/8 and I do not remember what it was set for. I know you can send it back and have it adjusted to what inch pound you want.
