Garmin Xero Placement

Have any of yall used the Xero on a diving board? I shoot off a tripod a lot and have been looking at options for mounting the Xero to get some data. The instructions say to position 5-15 inches to the side of the muzzle and 5-15 inches behind the muzzle. By that logic the diving board wouldn’t work, curious what yall have to say.

Right now I’m between the diving board mount and a side mount that clamps to the Arca rail.

Colt AR15 question

I have a Colt 6920 AR15 that has the .169" trigger and hammer pins and has the stock Mil-Spec trigger assembly.
This rifle has been setting in my safe for years and is new and unfired.
I was getting it cleaned up and ready to use today and I noticed that the hammer pin rotates when moving the hammer and also the trigger pin slightly rotates when pulling the trigger.
It is my understanding that both the hammer and trigger pins have grooves that the springs engage in to prevent them from walking out. But should the pins be rotating? Like I said this is a new rifle unfired.
Also I noticed the pins can be slightly moved side to side with finger pressure. Is this normal?
Thanks

Cartridges for plinking suggestions

Just looking for opinions. Looking for a cheap to reload for plinking cartridge that maybe isn't .223rem since I already have a couple in an AR.
Plinking from 1-400 max. More like 1-200 yards because that's what the range i got to has. Somthing to shoot with friends or shoot while another rifle cools down.

Was thinking maybe a 6x45 slinging some 70grain sierras.

Any other options out there. What do you fellas use for such activities?

Range Report 7mm Creedmoor

Is there any recent data/experience out there on the 7mm Creedmoor? All of the information I have found is a couple of years old, I’m curious if it’s no longer talked about because of better options of some other reason.
I recently bought a Fix by Q, purpose of the rifle for me is hunting and just an all around fun rifle to shoot. No comps with this rifle. Having said that I’m stuck in the confines of a sr25 pattern magazine. Seems like the 7mm Creedmoor shooting 162’s would be the perfect option.

Thoughts?

Also reamer recommendations?

Thanks

Forster Coax

Does anybody know what these holes are on the front of the press? I tried Forster today but they were closed. I wanted to shorten up the swing and thought I would put a bolt threw there and be able to screw up jaw opening screw and it works pretty good. Shortened arm swing up quite a bit.

Please consider helping Matthew Durnford family.

Matt worked at Mile High Shooting Accessories, and was always a gem to talk to. Some of you from the Hide may have spoke with him on the phone or met him in person while dealing with Mile High. From professional standpoint and from a bullshitting standpoint, Matt was a great guy to have in our industry . Frank and I worked with Matt a lot, laughed a lot too. Unfortunately, this Sunday Matt was riding his motorcycle and was involved in an accident, he died of his injuries. He was 28yrs young and was taken way too soon.

Please consider helping us raise money for his family during this tragic time to help compensate for this unexpected tragedy. Rest easy young man, we will miss your “moosestash,” quirky smile and your willingness to help out anyone who needed it.

Frank and I will be attending his funeral this Sunday. This is just a reminder that everyday that we are here is a gift. Our time on this earth is short, make the best of it. Do good things, be spontaneous, have adventures. You never know when God calls you to him.
