8.6 Blackout accuracy and barrel twist

I have been searching the threads on the 8.6 Blackout, and saw some issues with the 1:3 twist over spinning and causing damage to suppressors, etc. I probably should have researched more before I put my rifle together, but I used the Faxon 16" barrel on my Aero AR-10 build. I was zeroing it in yesterday and had no consistency in my groups.

I have a Trijicon Credo 1-8x scope using a Griffin Bushwacker suppressor and Gorilla 285gr. fracturing ammo, the stuff for the 16" barrels. Confirming everything was tight, still had issues. I did inspect my suppressor for any baffle strikes, but everything looks good there.

So wondering if anyone has some thoughts on this? Would I be better off going to the Mos-Tek 1:6.5 twist barrel? Different ammo? What twist is best for that 285gr?

Thank you

Discovery LHD 8-32x56

The Discovery LHD 8-32x56 is a surprisingly low priced 32x scope. Unlike previous long-range scopes from Discovery, my sample model did not come with scope rings. This may be a new direction from Discovery, hoping to move away from the perception that they are a "budget brand" that come with plethora of accessories.

The LHD appears made for long range Benchrest style shooting at over 2lbs (35.6 oz). It has tall, non-locking turrets which provide loud and tactile positive clicks. The elevation turret has a cog-and-tooth style zero stop which is solid and repeatable. In my range testing, the turret tracked precisely to my MIL grid target at 100yrds.

The magnification ring was stiff but thankfully it comes with metal throw lever, which it needs. The LHD uses relatively sharp HD glass which exhibits typical amounts of chromatic aberration (CA). This CA reduces contrast and sharpness at its highest magnification, which takes away from what on paper should be an impressive 32x.

The LHD has a FFP Christmas Tree reticle that is mostly skeletonized and thin to optimize visibility at higher magnification and longer distance objects. The illumination lights up the center 1/4 of of the cross hairs and is low-light/twilight bright. Helpful for black bullseye targets or shooting in early dawn or dusk but not "daylight bright".

A disappointment in this scope for me is its tight eyebox. Even at it widest setting of 8x the scope has an unforgiving eyebox that only gets tighter that higher you crank the magnification. For a Benchrest or F/class shooter this isn't as much of an issue; but may be a non-starter for a PRS shooter.

Overall performance and build quality reminds me a lot of the Arken SH4. The LHD offers similar performance at higher magnification for just under $250. While this scope won't compare with a Athlon Ares or Vortex Golden Eagle, the LHD outperforms anything in its price class.

SOLD Revic PMR 4.5-28x56mm MIL

Wanting to sell or trade (for another scope) my Revic PMR 4.5-28x56mm MIL RX1 Reticle. Great scope, awesome glass, with super handy ballistic computer built into it. Love the scope, its been great to me and super reliable but wanting to get something thats a little lighter weight with less magnification. So if you have any trade offers let me know what you have. Has to be FFP, MRAD/MIL and preferably I would like it to be a FDE/Tan scope. Its sitting in American Rifle Company M10 34mm medium height rings with a MKM Machining bubble level and Tenebraex scope caps. If you would like to buy it Im looking to get $2500 OBO out of it. They were $3250 new when they were discontinued before the release of the new Revic Radikl. Venmo or Paypal FF. I have shipping and insurance covered. I can send you more pics if you are interested. Let me know. Thanks!

Dd5v5 ready to rock. Bipod extender/extension question.

Got scope put on my DD5v5 Mil Spec plus in 6.5. Put A Leupold Mark 5hd 7-35 for the optic. Atlas Bipod. I've not had the weather to shoot her but am dying to get to the range. I know the bipod needs to be further forward but the gas block won't let it go any further. Does anyone know of an extension that could get the bipod out past the hand gaurd? Regardless really pumped about this rifle.

What a horrendous PU#$Y!

IMO it's all in good fun and permanent damage is an accident incredibly rare. I especially appreciated bobbing for snickers in a commode filled with lemonade, and having my breakfast thrown at me. When I had to eat an olive out of the bellybutton of the fattest fatass on the boat I got accused on biting the Royal Baby, and got cuffed a little, but never stopped laughing. The only thing that actually sucked a little was crawling on nonskid. I crossed on a small ship, I imagine that on a carrier their ceremony is about 50% speed of the small boats with less than 200 aboard.

In short this "whistle blower" faggot makes me sick. Faggots like this should be rooted out in bootcamp. Hegseth can't take charge fast enough.

Ammo 50BMG ammo SLAP, MK211, and misc

I have 46 rounds of 50BMG ammo for sale that’s just been in dry storage for the last 10-15 years and I don’t anticipate I’ll own a rifle anytime soon. I’m basically selling the exotic rounds for market pricing ($100 a round), $3 a round for everything else, and $30 to ship. Yes it’s all legit, I’ll gladly return your money if you x-ray the Raofauss rounds and they are fake, but I guarantee they are legit. Before you get all hot and bothered by the price, please look up the SLAP round and the Raofauss.

$750 shipped for all, I won’t ship to restricted states. I’d rather not split and just sell it all. My wife tells me she wants a new house so this is just going to a down payment so help a guy out here.

Report: LGBTQ Flocking to Gun Ranges Ahead of Trump Inauguration!

A report from the Philadelphia Inquirer indicates LGBTQ groups and others in liberal voting blocs are buying guns for self-defense ahead of Donald Trump’s inauguration.
According to the Inquirer, “The … Liberal Gun Club … has received thousands of training requests since the election, more than in all of 2023,” a quarter of which are from members of the LGBTQ community.
The Socialist Rifle Association has seen a surge in memberships as well, as have the Pink Pistols.
A Pink Pistols’ slogan says, “Armed Gays Don’t Get Bashed.”
Matthew Thompson, a New Jersey resident who is gay, said, “The people I’ve been seeing on the left and the gay people who are out purchasing guns for the first time, it’s all about self-defense and fear … We’re not looking to arm up and storm the Capitol. We just don’t want to be put in concentration camps.”
