Accessories WTS-Breitling Emergency ...now $4000

Hi All,
I've had this watch for a while and used to wear it on deployments but I just don't really wear it anymore as I have another I wear daily.
I just got the watch back from a full service at Breitling about a month ago and haven't worn it since so it will show as new as possible.
Trades?? Let me know what ya got. Maybe looking for a nice NV clip-on. No junk and no Glocks or AR variants
Thanks for looking.

"Dads" M1

Back in 2015 while taking the Harrison Honor Guard for a boat ride I broached the idea that when my dad passed if it would be possible to fire an M1 Garand I owned during his 21 gun salute.
I was told it was not allowed due to insurance & liability issues and I figured that was that. Some time latter I had a very good friend of my dad tell me that no matter what the policy was he would make it happen. Well 13 months latter my Dad passed and I brought the rifle with me to his funeral. Dads friend on the Honor Guard told me they would disable the gas system on the rifle and racked the bolt for all 3 rounds, leaving the last round in it.
After the service the rifle returned home to the gun safe, last discharged round still in the chamber, where it would stay in perpetuity. I then began to look for a way to display the rifle in my man cave as a tribute to him along with other mementoes of his time in the service.
Well after 8 1/2 years I finally found a display case that would do justice to the rifle & to my Dad. I ordered it from M1 Garand Transit Crates II and Paul A Lukas set about to make it happen.
I received it today and can honestly say I am beyond pleased and it is finally in its place of Honor in my man cave.
Hears to you Pops, gone but not forgotten.

Remington 700 by Gruning Precision Rifle / Upgraded at LRI

I recently picked up a Remington 700 off Gunbroker that was built by Gruning Precision. I don't know a lot about Gruning except that they generally build rifles for police and other law enforcement agencies. I emailed Gruning and discovered this rifle was given an accuracy package which included truing the receiver and bolt, a Timney trigger, and the HS stocks were skim bedded with barrel channel clearance. The barrel blank is either Krieger or Hart, not sure which or how to tell. After taking the rifle to the range and realizing it was still capable of shooting one-hole groups, I decided to give it a bit of a makeover.

I sent the stock back to HS Precision and got it repainted which turned out great and the turnaround was super fast. I also sent the barreled action off to LRI for a few upgrades and cerakote. I had the bolt fluted, barrel threaded, muzzle brake installed and a new bolt handle installed. My only complaint with LRI is they cerakoted the recoil lug on the rifle which made it impossible to mate the stock back to the rifle. I ended up sanding as much cerakote off as I could get and it went back together more easily, but still very tight.

Overall I'm quite happy with my Gunbroker purchase, its performance, and its appearance. The main thing now is to get some more rounds down the pipe and stretch its legs out to 1000.

Which Oil Do You Use to Wet Mount Scopes

So seeing how much fun discussion we are having in the other thread, I thought we could add to it.
Which brand of oil is always a hot bed of discussion

Personally I use Valvoline 20W50 Super Blue Diesel Oil after running it thru a Fram filter in my CUMMINS for 20k miles. Blackstone oil tests every 5k to verify oil quality.
I have found the higher zinc content along with the carbon build up from the used oil allows the rings to seat far superior to the rail. Sample size of two scope mountings.
A damp cue tip to coat the inside of the rings surface which contacts the rail. Then torque the fastener dipped in the same oil to manufacturers opinion.

Pressure issues please help

Hello,

I have a BCM AR with a Rainier 18” barrel. I was loading 24.0g of N540 with 75g Hornady BTHP at 1.847 CBTOG with CCI primers, and it was great. Due to some unrelated light primer strike issues I switched out the bolt and BCG, and all of a sudden I’m getting signs of over pressure on the primers. Can switching the BCG cause that? It’s also getting warmer in PA, but I think N540 is supposed to pretty temp stable. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks.

Firearms WTS: Thunder Beast 338 Ultra SR package $1200

Looking to move on from TBAC 338 Ultra SR. Long story short, I had access to a 1500+ yd range, got myself setup with a 300NM, during the waiting period for this can, lost access so sold the rifle and the can has basically sat since.

This is the Gen1 version. It has 20 rounds of 300NM, 10 7SAUM and 30 308 through it for a total of 60 rounds.

Includes 2 SR 338 Cal brakes - one threaded 5/8-24 and the other 3/4-24. Also includes a cover from Precision Underground and the original packaging.

I will have to transfer this to an SOT via Form4 and given the potential timeline and tedious nature of the transfer process, only looking to deal with established members who have strong feedback - sorry for any inconvenience. Wait times heavily dependent on buyers SOT and their policy regarding individual transfers.

Asking $1200. I will cover my transfer costs/stamp and shipping.

Samopal VZOR 24...I want one because of this...

The submachine guns 23 and 25 (originally model 48a/b) and the Sa 24 and Sa 26 (popularly also called pump) were the main infantry weapons of the Czechoslovak Army from 1948 to 1958. They use a 9 mm Luger cartridge (Sa 23 and Sa 25) and a 7.62 × 25 mm Tokarev cartridge (Sa 24 and Sa 26) and are equipped with a dynamic (unlocked) slide. They can fire single shots or bursts.
