SOLD WTT Manners LRH NV/ Hawkins

So I finally got one, mounted it and got to mess with with first hand. It’s super nice but I think I like my chassis better, so I’m seeing what’s out there for trade.

Manners LRH NV with EFR for Rem 700 SA and Clones with micro chassis and Hawkins M5 bottom metal.

Not looking to separate,

Looking for mid range Mil optics, Leupold mk 5 3.6-18 T3 illuminated, maybe other optics, maybe other chassis, or a Dillon press. Who knows, just pm me with what you have

Pm vs posting in the thread to avoid scammers.

737R 6 Dasher Build - Rounds Sticking In Chamber

I built a 737R 6 Dasher a few months ago and got everything pretty close to where I want it. I took it out to a prairie dog shoot over the last week and experienced my rounds sticking into the rifling after about 100 rounds. A cartridge closed into battery slightly hard which prompted me to eject it, when I did it ejected hard and pulled the case out without the bullet.

I'm about .010" off the lands according to the old school method of finding the lands via the feel of an ejector-less bolt. I started with .015" and experienced more consistent muzzle velocities at .010" and stopped there. Before my trip I shot pretty extensively without seeing any issues. I'm loading off a Dillon XL750 and the dies are on a dedicated tool head. I use the same shell holder slot to seat all my rounds. I'm using Redding type S with a micrometer seating die.

Before my trip I went out and shot 50 rounds at the range and did not clean it. About a week later was day 1 of my shoot and I shot about 50 rounds and experienced my first stuck round. I unstuck the round (very easily) with my cleaning rod and cleaned the rifle. Cartridges were entering into battery and ejected without a problem. The next day I shot about 100 without a single issue and then it popped up again. This time I unstuck the round and cleaned the powder out and put another round in with the same result. I cleared the bullet and have not cleaned it in case the community here suggests I take a look at something.

Is this carbon ring buildup or something else? Should I back off and increase my land jump?

Stupid question about recoil: 1 cartridge vs another

Alright - don't throw stuff at me, but... I searched to find the "stupid marksmanship" forum without success.

My gut is saying yes to my question, but I'm defering to the experts here on the Hide.

So here goes:

Will recoil be equal in 2 different cartridges/calibers if:

1. The rifle is exactly the same - stock, weight, etc.
2. The same powder and charge is used: example H4350 44.2 grains
3. The same bullet weight is used with roughly the same desgin - i.e. eld vs eld or Nosler BT etc.

Example:

6.5 creed shooting 130 vs 270 shooting 130 - using H4350 at 42 grains - won't they both have equal recoil energy?

6.5 creed shooting 100gr vs 6 creed shooting 100gr - using H4350 42 grains - same recoil?

So, what I'm getting at - within reason - bore diameter aside recoil will be equal as long as bullet weight and charge are the same.

Thanks

Major Land Sniper Cup 2025

SOLD WTS/WTT Swarovski Z8i 2-16x50

Absolutely like new Z8i, I don't see a mark on it anywhere. It's been mounted but hasn't seen a round yet. BRXi reticle.

Bought it as an A Demo from EO over the winter, and it's just not what I need.

My loss is your gain! $2900 shipped/insured, or $2850 ftf.

Trade interests: Something along the lines of a S&B Klassic 2.5-10x56 or 3-12x50 illuminated, Zeiss V4 3-12x56 or V6 2-12x50 with $60 reticle, maybe a Leica Amplus6 2.5-15x56, + $$. Another possibility would be a 10x NL Pure, + some $$ for a 42, straight across for a 52.

Composite Stock Options

Good Morning,

Picked up a rifle over the weekend with the intention of it being a light weight hunting rifle for the deer woods. I'd envision sitting on stand in the morning, still hunting throughout the midday, and sitting again in the evening.

It's a Bergara Carbon Ridge, and I'd like to swap the stock to something a bit more rigid. I'd like to keep the traditional design, and have been looking at the AG Composites Sportsman and Carbon All Terrain.......but, figured this group would likely know of more options, thus the question.

Thoughts on other stock makers I should check out?

Thanks!
