First off, I'm old... Well older than most shooting PRS. That being said, I strain to see factory markings on turrets while in stage. A few years ago, I made my own turret tapes for my Razor and NF ATACRs. They have been a huge help the last few years speeding elevation adjustments by marking them with DOPE for a given stage. Recently found that I wanted more real estate on the turrets for marking, and being a bit crafty with my 3D printer, drew up and printed a cap that fist over the elevation turrets. Am looking for input from shooters a bit more expereinced that I am as to your thoughts. I did print them 0.10" thicker than the factory turrets but it is still easy to ensure I'm on the right elevation when dialing. They are very snug to the turret with no movement or play, "snap fit" and do not modify the original turrets.

A prolific firearms collector(1000s of guns.) Of all types recently passed and I was given a chance to pick 2 firearms. Picked a Sig 716 patrol and the Rem 700 5R. I have shot it a little with a cheaper scope. Deciding on a better than good optics for it. I cleaned it down to metal since it had been shot. It is a precise rifle haveing squeezed one or two 1/2min 5shot groups out of it with hornedy 168gr match. But it's not the most consistant.
My question is how close to a legit M40(exact model?) is it? I don't think it's a world class barrel or anything haha.

For those of you who run a 6x45 with TAC, what is your pet load? I’m loading Berger 87gr VLD-H’s with H335, but velocities are slower than desired. I’m testing TAC in my Grendel and .223 now. Neither Berger nor Hodgdon have loads published. I’d love to hear from the community.

Cleaning out the parts bin and I’m just selling all this as a lot. I don’t want to mess with individual sales.

Does anyone remember in the early 2000’s Unertl (or maybe it was leupold) had scopes with a cam adjustment built into the turret. Similar to the rear sight adjustment on the M16 with 100m detents.

I think IBA had these on M40 clones in that time period as well.

Where to find info/ history of these?

ISO Bushnell elite 3.5-21. H59 reticle or other. Used preferred.

doing ADL to BDL conversion with detachable mag , and new trigger , trigger works fine , bolt stop functions , mag functions but when i tighten the forward screw the bolt will not articulate , loosen to where its just about to cinch and the bolt functions freely , the slightest amount of torque and the bolt locks up , rear screw 40 inch lbs , stock is a factory Remington BDL Black composite free float

i tried loosening the rear screw and tighten the forward screw only and still does it

I shot some SIG Elite Hunter 130 grain tipped ammo in my SP10. This factory ammo has nickel plated cases. It shot real well and feeds well. Is there any downside to running nickel plated cases through an AR?

Western NC, TN and many other places have been thrown back to the stone age from this storm. The Chimney Rock / Lake Lure area has been pretty much wiped out. (My wife and I really love that area) Parts of I-40 and I-26 have been washed away. Some of the areas that have been impacted will never recover.

Haven't heard a peep from Biden or Harris they are probably too busy putting together another package for Ukraine and Israel.

It's a fucking shame when disasters happen anywhere else our politicians are ready to send billions of US dollars the next day, but shit happens here they have to pass a relief package and vote on it!

Looking to part ways with my last MOA scope switched everything over to MIL. Leupold Mark5 3.6-18 pr1 MOA. Would like to trade for the same scope in MIL or would also like a nx8 with mil-c reticle. Will consider other reasonable options as well.
