buying a cargo van to start a business?

I'm on what you'd call a budget. As in 'I need to pay cash for something like a Sprinter or Transit to work out of

Checked ebay. SPEN-dee
Checked CL in various cities. Not as spendy as ebay, but nothing really on the market
Edmunds? ditto
carfax? ditto again

There's one Sprinter in TX on the govt surplus auction site that seems affordable, but that's in TX and I'm not.

There are Sprinters and Transits that are older, but not beat to crap? I don't mind fixing something to save the $$

where else is there to check?

SOLD Standard Manufacturing SAA Pair-Nickel Plated-.45 LC / 1-piece grips - Sequentially Numbered - $3,500

This would not necessarily have been the first place that came to mind when I decided to sell these, but I figured with Christmas coming and all of us having that “Impossible to buy for” person on our list, I’d give it shot. Maybe your dad or grandad, a son or daughter that may have reached a milestone in their life or just a gift for yourself because you’re on the ‘nice’ list.

I have an absolutely beautiful, matched pair of sequentially numbered SAA Colt .45’s from Standard Manufacturing. If you haven’t heard of them, here’s a link that provides a lot of information about who they are.

Suffice to say, the same Gunsmith’s that are turning out $50k-$75k Connecticut shotguns are also performing their magic on these revolvers. These are brand new, unfired, in the box and have never been handled without gloves. They are pristine, exactly as I received them direct from Standard.

Not to start a fight, but I have personally owned and shot Colt SAA’s and U.S. Firearms SAA's, and I can say without a moment's hesitation the Standards are far superior in fit and finish. They are without a doubt the finest SAA’s being produced today (perhaps ever?). They would make a spectacular gift; finished in breathtaking nickel with fancy one-piece grips, the photos do not do them justice.

These are cross listed, but I am offering them here on the ‘Hide in the spirit of Christmas at the amazing price of $3,500 for the pair. If you ordered these pistols today from Standard, they would cost you $2,449/each or $4,898 for the pair (add another $800 if you want sequential serial numbers).

Happy to answer any questions or speak live. PPFF or Zelle, and as a courtesy to my fellow ‘Hide member, I can take a CC (no fee) over the phone from my other business. They will ship from my FFL to your FFL; shipping and insurance is on me.

Not looking for trades, will not break up set, but reasonable offers always considered. Thanks for looking!

10/22 Target model... bipod/pic rail help

Just got a 10/22 Target model. Looking to add a bipod, or a pic rail then a bipod. It has a sling stud. I cant find anything that will fit... stock is completely flat and all the rails and bipids have curved bottoms. Anyone know of something that will fit?
Someone gave the suggestion of just shooting off a rest, but would rather have something attached

Hunting Etiquette

So I've been hunting a lot of years. For the last 30 years I deer hunt by myself. Saturday was the first day of deer season and I didn't feel the need to get up at oh-dark-thirty to go out to the field. It wasn't till about noon that I got geared up and headed out to the farm I was going to hunt.

The farm I hunt on is part of a cooperative - anybody can hunt it. I don't own any part of it and as far as I know (I talk to the land owner every year before first day) neither does anyone else hunting that land. I got no claim on the field and neither does anyone else. Anyway, I'm patrolling around and come across an empty tree stand. I saw no indication in the snow that anyone had been in that tree stand that day, not that it matters because it was empty when I got there. I'm standing about 20 yards away from it when I hear a hunter coming up behind me and he says his dad's going to be in that tree stand. Weellll, we have a problem because I'm not moving from that area just because someone has finally decided to show up and hunt out of that tree stand. If a hunter is in the tree stand when I arrive on scene I'm giving him a wide berth. He was physically there first and so I yield to his "control" of that area. But when I arrive and there's nobody there well guess what? In my mind I'm there first and if someone wants to go up in the tree stand, they're going to have to share the area with me or abandon their plan to hunt out of it altogether.

I don't want my deer hunting to turn into some pain the ass. Alternatively, I don't feel I should give up a good spot just because somebody a) put up a tree stand and b) decides to show up after I'm already there. I mean there was a possibility the guy wasn't going to show up at all and then I'd have missed a good spot for absolutely no reason.

So what would you guys do?

Garmin Tactix 7 Amoled, Applied Balistic and SIG Kilo 6

Hi All,

I own an Tactix 7 Amoled with AB elite on it for about 10 months now. I have as well an SIG Kilo 6 Binoculars. I have used these two together for 6-7 month getting the balistic solution (on binoculars) in real time and no issues. In the last month a strange thing is happening. Looks like SIG is sending the distance to the watch, balistic solution is shown on the watch screen, however is not automatically sent to binoculars but i have to press one of the watch. I have reseted the watch and nothing changed. It seems like the watch goes in some sort of “standby” and is only receiving the data.

Be Wary MPT! "Take it Down" act is coming!

Just saw this on Newsmax, sponsored by Sen. Ted Cruz. The "Take it down" act to prevent Deep Fake AI images of nude people being published on the Internet when a complaint is filed against that Internet site.

A portion of the act reads as follows:
It shall be unlawful for any person in interstate of foreign commerce to use an interactive computer service to knowingly publish an intimate visual depiction of an identifiable individual who is a minor with intent to - abuse, humiliate, harass or degrade the minor; or around or gratify the $exual desire of any person.

The bill passed unanimously in the Senate. It's awaiting a vote in the House. If signed into law, our MPT rules will have to be modified. Maybe less AI stuff.

Watch out!
