Ruger released a new small frame (POF competitor) 308 for under $1300 with either a 16 or 20" barrel. Guessing the bolts are inconel or a slight variation thereof. Looks interesting at that price point and will be interested in seeing real world reviews. Being a POF Revolution DI owner there are few items on the Ruger I don't like as much but for the price, might be a great option if accuracy and QC are decent.

Up for sale is my gently used Sauer 404. Rarely carried, and shot even less. I believe this is the ‘Select’ stock, but the figuring in the Walnut is an incredible —- appears to be almost ‘Elegance’ standards.
I purchased this from the original owner approx 6 years ago. He put 60 rounds through it and I added 45, so the total is just over 100. It shoots his pet load (he gave me the rest of the original 100 he loaded) into 3/8. Unfortunately, I can’t recall what the load was at this point.

The rifle is in excellent condition with some light handling marks in the stocks, most of which are unnoticeable without shining a light over the surface at exactly the right angle. The most obvious couple of marks are shown in the last pics. I cannot readily find any marks in the metalwork.

For those who are unfamiliar, this is one of the smoothest and easiest multi caliber platforms around in the hunting/sporter form factor (swappable bolt heads). The craftsmanship from Sauer on these is truly top shelf. I’ve decided to focus my hunting rigs down to a Sako and a Bighorn short action, so I just don’t have a need for a switch barrel hunter that that can run short action up to long action mag on the same platform.

This is fully outfitted with factory extras including the sling, Sauer one piece 30mm optic mount, and Sauer locking custom fitted hard travel case.

My go to load in both my 6.5CM rifles is with H4350 and 140's. I picked up a 8lb keg of IMR4350 at a good price and wondered if any of you guys have tried the IMR variant and if so how much difference did you find? The Hornady manual loads for both are very nearly the same across the board but the IMR can be loaded slightly hotter..........can any of you guys that have shot both comment/compare powder charges, accuracy, velocities,etc. between the two?
