I’m really impressed with the Burris Veracity PH 3-15x44, but it’s about to take a second trip back to Burris for repair.

Last year the zero stop kept slipping below zero until the screw no longer engaged the small zero stop peg. I sent it to Burris and they repaired it. Fast forward less than a year later and exact same problem is happening again.

The zero stop peg on the turret track is a very small metal peg with the softness of a fishing sinker. When the zero stop screw hits this peg, it slowly deforms it each time. Eventually it gets to where the screw doesn’t hit the peg at all.

Has anyone else had this problem with Burris? I’m wondering if other models have this same zero stop design.

Currently I have a vortex viper pst gen 2 5-25 and I have an Arken EP 7-35 gen 2.

Personally the glass in the 2 above optics to my eye are just fine.

I want something America. Papa trump is back and it’s time to go Mercian.

Having said that I don’t have any reps behind more “primo” glass.

I’ve held just about every optic in hand at a Scheels but looking through any optic indoors at maybe 50 yards I can’t tell a big difference.

Can I get trigger recommendation for the Cz 457 MTR ?

Wondering what the ideal speed for the 87 grain VMAX bullets are? I am shooting them out of a 243. Anywhere from 2600-3100 fps my groups are under .5” just wondering what speed I should stick with? I have heard a lot of guys loading them too fast and causing them to splash on impact instead of penetrate when pred hunting? Anybody have some hands on experience?

Recently purchased a browning x-bolt speed 6.5 Creedmoor. The bolt action seems tight while chambering rounds. Is it normal for it to seem tight? Have a few other bolt actions in other calibers and they chamber easily

I have an Anschutz 54.18 in the AI-X Chassis with a folder, which I would like to carry in a Pelican 1700 with the stock folded, to make it as small a package as possible to transport. I plan to have custom foam cut to hold the rifle in the case.

My concern is how wide the rifle is with the stock folded, and will it fit safely in the 1700?

Gunfoam.com says the rifle will sit down 3 inches into the bottom foam, and the whatever height the folder protrudes above that will be held by the eggcrate foam in the lid, which is approximately 1.74" thick.

Anyone here transport their AT-X folder in a Pelican? Thanks for any insight.
