Rural Americans use the most gas….

People have been moving further away from the cities to be left alone. Now the things that they moved away from are reaching further to still try and control them.
Cities continue to reach further and annex the burbs. Why? The never ending quest of government.... Money and Control.
BTW. Electric vehicles are not green
It's worth buying some fuel to not live in a city full of leftists.
All we want is to be left the fuck alone.

Pete Buttigieg: Rural Drivers Should Buy Electric Cars Because They Use the Most Gas
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...-electric-cars-because-they-use-the-most-gas/

And here is why evil heartland rural Americans must be punished…. Thanks, but not going to Plow a farm driveway or hay with a Prius….

These people are delusional.

Sirhr
LOL......I would like to invite Pete to bring his EV with donut size tires out when the next big wet snow hits. I will watch as he uses it to check cattle and put out hay. Idiot! We have to have 4 wheel drive and 10 ply tires on everything because our roads are not being maintained.

I actually like the idea of electric vehicles like the cybertruck and electric SCUTS if the price is right. I break stuff all the time though and I might as well be trying to repair a lunar rover if these things go down. I'll stick with carbureted trucks and pre emissions tractors for a while.

The folks that live here:

Are telling the folks that live here they need to clean up their neighborhood...

I have no problems with electric cars and if I were in the market for a commuter car I would seriously consider a Tesla (and I am very rural). What I don’t want is some wanker telling me I have to….like everything else in life.

Wait, rural drivers that have further to drive use more gas? Who would have thought?
I bet they put more miles on their vehicles, too.

All Buttiplug tells us is eating another man's ass makes you stupid.

Hey man, green is the way to go, railroad has been green for years, they are electric, I mean they use a 3000 hp diesel engine to get their gennys spinning, but that’s beside the point, because you know..... Facts don’t matter to these fuckin retards on the left.

Here are some of the obvious problems:

  1. Electric cars are expensive, how do low and middle class folks afford an $50,000 Tesla Model Y?
  2. Electric cars are rated as the least reliable models by Consumer Reports currently for 2022, rural drivers depend on cars to survive. Why would they buy an expensive and unreliable vehicle?
  3. The average owner of an electric vehicle are rich white males that live in urban cities. Electric vehicles are basically a class symbol right of the rich.
  4. There aren't many models on lots and there aren't many trained technicians.
  5. Charging infrastructure is limited, particularly in rural places. Sure you can charge some newer makes in a 12 amp wall outlet but it will take 24 hours and home charging systems start at about $1100 installed.
  6. Semi-trucks supply rural America and there are no electric semis that are available today. The Tesla Semi will cost $150,000 base price before taxes, fees and registration. It just isnt market competitive yet.
  7. Power companies are now going to be demanding you pay for your charging and there is no set price on how much on demand fast charging is going to cost at night when everyone comes home from work all at the same times of day.
  8. The Democrats dont want you to have your own car in the first place. They want you to always take/wait for public transit because that is more sustainable. They want to charge you by your milage usage to incentivize you to use transit too. So this whole point is a bit moot.
So yeah, I get why people are hesistant to buy an electric car. Especially in rural America. If the market makes them cheaper, more reliable and have more safe charging it might make more sense in the future.

There's no doubt that electric vehicles will improve over time. But it may be quite a while before it makes sense for rural people. And it will also take quite a while before our grid will be able to handle charging all the cars at the same time too.

His dumb ass probably wrote/proofread this crap while eating his hearty breakfast, all brought to him by farmers and truck drivers. Take his precious breakfast away and let him find it himself, and his tune will surely change.

The left knows that the majority of people in rural America are Conservatives.
This is just yet another way to try and vilify the people who farm and ranch and work in the oil fields.

I would like to see the city people try to do without everything that comes from rural America for awhile....

I drove 88 miles each way to work, prior to retirement. There were no charging stations, so unless these electric vehicles have really improved their range......I would not have been able to work!

As stated these people are delusional , I’ll go a bit further......they are fools! memtb

Dunning-Kruger

So, what I hear you saying is, you'll give me a free Prius so I don't have to drive my tractor to the city?

Counterpoint: Okay, when all the cities stop using diesel fuel we will buy EVs. Cause I REALLY can't recall anyone designing a EV garbage truck.

Is it smart to reply to a Dunning-Kruger comment with a bunch more of the same?

I think not.

Eh - realize this is another tripod leg of global dominance.

You CANNOT make an electric vehicle right now without extensive amounts of shit from China. And a modern society cannot survive long without ubiquitous transportation.

Electric vehicles are absolutely green. It takes no fossil fuels at all to mine the lithium, iron ore, aluminum, copper for wires, etc. make the plastics, etc... all you do is plug them into the wall and power magically gets into them from miracle sources which takes no fossil fuels at all to make the copper wires, plastics. ..etc.

Totally green and "carbon neutral"

It doesn't go far enough. Electric is carbon neutral, but what we need is carbon eliminating source of energy. I propose we develop a vehicle powered with carbon. Burning that carbon will reduce carbon. If I ever have the misfortune of talking to a leftist I think I'll try to convince them of this.

Perhaps we wouldn't need so much fuel if we weren't feeding the cities.
This! Feed only ourselves and keep the fuel produced in rural areas for ourselves, too. In fact… the coal and the electricity as well. I don’t remember seeing many power dams in cities. They get dumped on dumb country folk.

I think you have a great idea!

I think we're already seeing it. Take the Virginia governor race for example. Rino new world order supporter. Or the Gavin Newsome recall. There's another example. Until the electronic voting machines are gone it will only get worse.
I wish I had confidence that what was wrong was a voting machine problem.

I'm a technology expert, and the thing I sell to pay the rent is expertise in exactly everything needed to fake an election. I guarantee you if you allowed me to manufacture the voting machines and design them I could have stolen the election and hidden said theft from you completely.

HOWEVER - all of that said - I feel the real problem is the 360 degree attack in the media, schools, literature, and movies on our way of life that has been going on for the last 40 years finally landing home with a complete takeover.

20+ percent of american kids these days think they are of an alternative sexuality - for fucks sake these people have built a propaganda machine so incredibly hardcore that people have abandoned their naturally occurring sexuality just to fit in and not make waves!

I feel that people who are convinced that the election was stolen electronically are hopeful dreamers - the truth is so much worse.

I'll buy a fucking horse before I buy a God damn electric piece of shit, and I can't fucking stand horses. I was raised around them, and unless the shit hits the fan and that's the only reliable means of transportation, I have no use for the fucking hay burning, fence breaking, assholes.

On the bright side, one day reality will smack the crap out of these kids. They'll start paying taxes, raising families and dealing with all the nonsense we're putting up with now.

The hippies turned into boomers, after all. Right now these kids have no responsibility and they aren't footing the bill for the crap programs they support. 40% of the ones that lopped off their noodle will have committed suicide and the bulk of the generation will be bitching about how kids spend too much time playing with their new fangled virtual reality gadgets in 2050.

I don't blame the kids at all. I blame their parents. The welts on my backside are long gone, but I haven't forgotten the lessons I learned from the beatings.
