Not much of a poster more of a reader but I took this quick snap of my AX hanging off the front of my Unimog. Thought you guys might enjoy it.
I’ve been doing some R&D for a mates company who makes the magnetic mounts called 3footedmonster so just grabbed him a picture.

PVS27 (night vision)

Gotta say, an AXMC + PVS27 is *not* recommended for a run and gun. Especially if you are out of shape!

The class was an absolute blast. 10/10 would take again.

Get that cardio up son! 🤣 Think my axmc with the 27 is like 23 lbs !

New optic has been acquired...

It's more green in person believe it or not and goes extremely well with the Elite Sand on my AI. Big shout out to @MNTC for getting me set up with this Coyote Tangent!

That looks pretty nice. I thought it would be more akin to the AI pale brown but I can see that I was wrong on that thought

BTW...I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the TT. Not sure if you have ever used a ZCO. I love my ZCO 5-27 but this TT itch is also quite strong. I am trying to decide if the next addition is another ZCO (8-40) or a TT

I'm holding out for the 840...I have used both, so has krob...

Personally I can't really see a diff in glass quality/image. Eye box is better imo on the zco...turrets are better on the TT...pick your reticle and go.

I need a zco 420 and 840 with an msr2 @gebhardt02

I've had four ZCO's and this will be my third TT lol if you don't need a hi power scope, I'd get a TT man. They're pretty sweet. Love the ZCO reticles but this is my first TT with the Gen3XR (previous two were gen2XR. One of which I sold to nolegs24). Looking forward to trying it out this weekend.

Glass is phenomenal and is a wash with which is better between the ZCO and TT imo. I love the TT turrets and the fact that it's toolless to reset the zero stop, especially if running a diving board or a direct mount RDS on a spuhr. Parallax is extremely forgiving on both. I checked out the 8-40 at shot show and if you like longgggggggggg scopes, you will love the ZCO 8-40 lol eye box on the ZCO is like looking at everything on a big screen ultra high def tv which is nice.

Between the exclusivity of the coyote TT and the toolless re zero, and wanting to try the Gen3XR, I went TT again. I swap between barrels quite frequently and Plan on running a RDS on top.

OK...you have a bigger problem than I do.

The ZCO 5-27 is my favorite and sits on the AXMC. I only have one :(. I love the "big screen TV" image of the 36mm tube. Great reticle (MPCT 3) and good turrets. Biggest plus is that It is an easy scope to sit behind for hours. It imparts no eye fatigue at all.

I also have a NF 7-35 ATACR on my AT. It is my second favorite. I know what some people say but I love my NF. I find that most don't understand that the setup of the diopter/focus/parallax is much more difficult to do. If not done properly, it can compromise the ability to be simultaneously focused on the target with zero parallax. Most people simply do not have the patience which leads to a lot of the criticism I read about here and elsewhere. Get it right and it is a great scope. Turrets, in terms of feel and legibility, are done right. It tracks like a champ. The MIL-C remains one of my favorite reticles. I can club you to death with it as well...LOL.

The whole high magnification benefit to me is maybe a bit different. At 25X, I truly believe that my 7-35 is clearer and more pleasing than the image from either my 5-25 ATACR or my S&B 5-25. Will the 8-40 be better at 27X than the 5-27?? If yes, that is an advantage. BUT.......Turret ergonomics and tracking accuracy are priority one for me. That is why I am leaning towards the TT. I would love to hear about how well it tracks provided you do a TT test on the TT...LOL

Lots to think about...

I’ve just picked this one up after selling my other one. Bit more room for the family in it over my crane truck. Still working through the normal list of mods but they go ok with some tweaking. 110hp to around 280.
Working up a kinda splinter camo for the new rig.

If you like that NF, you’re gonna be blown away with a tangent. Much better in every aspect. And the whole ocular doesn't rotate lol

I'll see what I can do to do a tracking test this weekend man!

Yes that NF occular is dumber than a football bat in 2022....vortex razor has better turrets too

I must be the only one who loves the NF ocular lol. Just grab a hand full of scope and twist, no finding a skinny ring. And locking diopter, fast focus never made sense, who is touching the diopter often enough to need fast focus?
Yea then your flipping rear scope cap gets it's orientation changed all around the power setting....gayyyyyyyyyyy

Zco,Sb us, tangent power ring are perfect I wouldn't call it fast or easy to turn. Zco is prolly the best of the 3 there to set it and forget it.

I have never needed a locking diopter on any of those. SB has the easiest dopter to turn and it's never happened to me. I always witness mark my setting on my scopes even tho my caps prevent my diopter from moving anyway

Scope caps...?!

I have no issues with the ocular..I remove the cover when I run the rifle...hint

I'll take my NF over most scopes I have used and I have owned pretty much everything out there....other than Vortex. I haven't owned one of those.

Not sure why I didn't expect my comment to be taken way out to left field 😂

I don't run scope caps, only time they are on is during transport and I pull em before use if I don't have a bikini for it yet.

I witness Mark my diopter and tape it on my other scopes. I have had them move and again.... never see people adjusting it after setting it right the first time. We have locking turrets but use them all the time but not a diopter... 🤌 O!

This is a hill I'll die on lol.

Are you the one guy that actually liked the USMC Unertl on their M40A1? ;)
