That’s what I thought too, have a Kak blast can that’s 5/8X24 and I was able to thread it on there.

Interesting. I tried to thread on one of my other thread protectors just to be sure and it wouldn't go on. Maybe some of them were M18x1 and some were 5/8-24? I know the barrel is very thick on mine.

Best I can figure is that at one point every one of those rifles had the metric thread but I know they switched them to 5/8X24 at some point.
