Question for the TT guys running a non continuous rail (ie AT or similar)....which spuhr mount are you using, 4001, 4006..? i don't plan to ever buy NV, but I may run the NV bridge at some point for support hand stuff and not sure if I could get away with the 4001 at that point.
I’m running 4006.

got a pic by chance?

A package from the UK showed up, and after 20 minutes this is the end result.

And yes, that is a VORTEX on the AT. And a Harris.Flame away.

Did I mention it’s a 308?
Lots of people run vortex on their AI’s …Harris on the other hand😂 just @Huskydriver did as far as I know and that was on a axmc 🙂

Lethalsquirts,
I have the same case and was thinking of getting some foam cut... How long of a barrel can you fit? 20"? I had not seen an AXSR in a case that small before.

Yes, you can fit a 20” barrel without a muzzle device. The barrel cut out measures 21”. The AXMC fits in there nicely, but I had to modify the foam by cutting it to make the AXSR fit.

Way cool

Can you share the details about the case?
@Fixr beat me to it. Check out the above link he just shared. ☝️
Looks like they are in stock. For me, it makes it easier to pack with the rest of my gear compared to my long pelican rifle case. Only downside of the transit case is that I have to set up and tear down my rifle every time.

Anyone have an AXMC 24” or 26” 308 barrel they would want to trade for a 20” 308 barrel, 120rds on it. I wanted to post here before I put it in the Exchange. PM me direct for details.

Would also buy one if you have one sitting

If you really are confused, he's making fun of your choice of such a basic bipod in comparison to such a premium rifle.....

I figured as much….so all of you rich AI owning people…tell me which bipod you recommend…I have tried three forms of atlas and found them to be rattling pieces of shit that don’t provide the firm rest that a Harris does. I sent one of them back to atlas when I though it was truly too “full of rattle” I was informed that it was within specs. I would love to see what you all recommend.

By the way I got to shoot the rifle for the fist time today….3 rounds in one hole was an impressive first outing.

TBAC
Atlas Cal Gen II

It’s not the atlas that’s the problem

I also have 6 Harris. They’re crap compared to atlas. Learn to load a bipod

Does the Gen 2 rattle?

I know how to load a bipod, I just hate spending good money for something that is noisy “by design”

Obviously I don’t mind spending the money, I just want the product to feel and sound like the money you spend on it.

Don't feel bad... on my second atlas and I'm a range trip or 2 away from going back to a harris. I like the simplicity but I have broken one.

Accutac, tbac, cyke pod (mdt) in no order

Accutacs have been great for me honestly and the only advantage the cyke has imo over the accutacs is for playing prs games.

Oh and feel free to tell us all off we are just trolling with the poor comments 🤣

No one uses Elite Iron bipods no more? At one point, I’ve seen a lot of AI with these bipods. What happened?

Don’t forget Magpul bipods. 😁

Thanks for the feedback gents.

What I think is funny, is you guys picked up on the one thing that wasn’t “new to me” on this package, and I had been looking a bipods all weekend long prior to posting.

Question…..why specifically is the BT69 quoted for the Atlas, and not the new gen 8 Bt-10?

Because no one uses the 'pan feature', so it's easier to keep the legs square to your rifle with the CAL... Plus its wider design puts your bore axis lower in relation to the apex of the bipod.

I own an LRA Lite F-class (weird naming), a Super Cal, and Elite Iron and the EI has less rattle than both. LRA/Atlas about the same rattle IF you extend the legs the same (but this is sort of irrelevant because they have different height “saddles”).

For the same rifle height, the SCAL extends less than the LRA so it has less rattle.

But rattle doesn’t seem to matter? In fact a bit of play is nice because you can make small aiming adjustments. But I am a hack.

If you want a fully solid I-beam lol you’ll have to look at F-class bipods like a Phoenix etc.

LRA bipods or the Cadex Falcon are the most solid for these AI rifles I have found. I use TBAC on most everything else.

Cadex eh? I forgot about those. Tell us more.

Yea please do…is it worth the 60 bucks over the Atlas CL?
Personally, if you are not into PRS style shooting I would suggest the elite iron non-panning model. The sort of zero-gravity feeling its cant mechanism gives is really the best for achieving a natural point of aim. Has an absolute rock solid cant lock-off.

The EI is sort of long and stork-like, plus it doesn’t deploy quickly from the stowed position.

I own the panner version and it’s even more unwieldy. But it’s a great panner! No lock-off for the panning however (just for cant).

You can call to get their acra model.

As mentioned already,

Lower axis on bore
Non panning
Legs don’t rotate on the cal. Not sure on bt10

My cal as almost zero slop unless you extend the legs. Then it has some but when loading the bipod it’s absolutely unnoticed.

Some things I like over the Harris is overall toughness. I had a nut come off a leg while hunting and land my rifle muzzle in the dirt.

I also like the fact I can grab me rifle and slide it towards me and the hawk hill talons just cut ditches in the dirt. Where the Harris would collapse under the weight and fold the legs

My next venture on my AXMC is Accutac HD50

Do the legs rotate on the new BT-10? Because that’s a bummer, also.
If im not mistake the BT10 has rotating legs, but the PSR and cal gen1/2 do not.

There's also a gen1 and gen2 of the rubber feet, the gen2 have a little different design to ensure they dont "walk" or rotate too.
