My friend, Haiti collapsed about 200 years ago when they murderd every man woman and child on the island who wasn't black as coal. It was the bread basket of the Caribbean, exporting sugar cane and food all over the world. They've been laying in their own shit, starving ever since. Developed countries have spent the equivalent of trillions of dollars a dozen times since then to fix that shitheap. The minute they're left alone, they steal or destroy any money or improvements, then sit back down in squalor and stick their hands out again and wait for the next sucker. I couldn't care less what happens in that piss hole.

Back when Steele Corp had a protection contract there, I had a Presidential ‘get out of jail free’ card. The E&E plan for when the government collapsed was to steal the FTS at the airport or marina and go East until we saw greenery, at which point you were in the DR. Might have been nice enough when the French had it, but that’s been a while now.
A friend was part of a church charity group over there and was told them same thing, steal a boat and head for the green half lol.
Can't imagine why it has failed. If only there was a way to see it coming?
