I just left there. I went to Paris for my job. I got to France after the first wave a protests, got the state department warnings on my cell phone when the explosion happened, and got out of Paris right before the most recent protests. Glad that city/country is in my rear view mirror. The food sucked (except for Ethiopian and Lebanese food), the wine was good as was the coffee, and the people mostly pleasant.

Just today I posted up a deal on "social networks" in another thread. This is the key threat to "them". They can't have the truth getting out there, they can't have their past coming up to kick them in the spot where their balls use to be. They must get control, and total control over ALL the "internet". I would bet you dimes to doughnuts they are looking at just how North Korea has just 6 web sites and think it is just fantastic.
The entire "free speech" thing is under an assault that makes what they are trying to do to guns look like a slap in the face. I know some of you might not agree with that, but think about it. Where are guns "the problem" and then think where people speaking their mind is "the problem".
First free speech will go, after it falls, and I do think it will fall, guns will be easy. I personally don't think people will get off their comfy fat butts and do something about it. By the time they have no AC and are existing on rations of processed food will they think this has gone too far. But by then it will be too late and millions will be needed to change things if it is even possible to change things. I have fear for my kids, and any children they may have.....real fear.
