It may be better to use the original platen again. Will wait and see for other opinions as well, thanks.

I've actually dropped 60+ grains with dead drop, area 419 platen, on my fx120i without issues. But I honestly never thought about it.
I drop 80 all the time with that setup. I'm assuming it's 122 after the zero.
Pretty sure you don't need to take the platen into account for the weight limit (within reason). If you think about it, you calibrate the FX120i with either a 100g or 50g calibration weight; the 100g calibration weight with OEM platen (which if I remember correctly is also around 60-65g) would already exceed the listed capacity.
The dead drop cup is like 60.5 grams.
dead drop cup (built solidly) had more kernels bounce out than i thought and wanted. probably need to tune my setup a bit more. I will try again with another setup, but i went back to the paper shot glasses and get 0 bounce.

I think @NiteQwill mentioned these cups. I bought 2x dead drop cups, I cut/filled them to be the same weight.
I drop with a RCBS dispenser and finish the final throw in with the ingenuity. Running 2 cups basically means the ingenuity never stops.
Anyways the RCBS dropper always bounced a few kernels out of the glass cups. I tried protein powder cups and it was the same.
Anyways long story short:
Solved all my problems, a little expensive for a cup but for me, worth it. I did use a dryer sheet to clean out the inside of the cups, n555 was sticking, now it’s good.
I drop with a RCBS dispenser and finish the final throw in with the ingenuity. Running 2 cups basically means the ingenuity never stops.
Anyways the RCBS dropper always bounced a few kernels out of the glass cups. I tried protein powder cups and it was the same.

It's a good point - my guess is that if you let both cups acclimate together, and you're reloading in environmentally "controlled" conditions (ie, indoors, with A/C and heat), they'll likely stay the same relationship with one another. They don't weigh the same now (at least, I'd very much doubt that they do, unless the maker is calibrating them before sale) - so the lighter one prolly needs some weight added to it to make it match the heavier one. But I'd guess they pretty much stay the same after they reach a stable state with absorbed moisture
They are not 3D printed TPU. They feel and act like porcelain.
Got it, so maybe SLA printed Nylon? Similar to MPAs printed parts on their newer chassis?
Easy way to see if it holds water is wiping it with IPA. It will draw out the moisture if so.
Correct. I only took noticed a while back with my AT cups with the 3D printed handles. I wiped one down with IPA just to clean it and when I put it back on the scale later that day it weighed less than it did previously. Not a show stopper by any means, but something to consider. I'm curious more than anything.
Oh, yeah - its definitely an issue w/ TPU, etc, and when you're weighing things in increments of 1/350000 of a pound... that moisture level matters, for sure
I have a 300i right now. Exact same scale as my 120i just 300g capacity.
So, with the IP system shipping in March at the earliest (and honestly, why on earth would you believe that?) what is the best alternative system that can be up and running in 2-3 weeks?
I have the scale and I assume the IP trickler is more or less ready to ship when ordered. So, just need to find a ATV3 then.
Yes, or a V2 with the upgrade so you can use the app and connect via Bluetooth. That's the big difference. They can be found and come up on here from time to time. It's an extremely good set up, and blows away all others currently available
You don't need to app or bluetooth to get the autotrickler and IP to work. I haven't used the app for years.
I have the new IP electronics/keypad on the way. They are available for purchase right now along with the IP Trickler..
You can use a Lee manual powder thrower for now and then set right on scale or mount it to the lid...
If you want the IP electronics you need to contact Paul directly. He doesn't have them on the website yet.
If your already on the pre-order, you'll just get the rest of the parts (windscreen, dumper and mount) as soon as it's ready.
You can save throws, no resetting each time you switch loads... and hint hint V3 thrower works with it...

I'm not going to provide timelines or updates on when everything will be ready to ship. If Paul wants to provide that he can.
He's waiting on some parts so he can ship everything. He has tricklers, motors, electronics and cup ready to ship now. You have to contact him directly to order and he will send you a link to pay for those items.
When the rest is ready you pay the difference and get the dumper and windscreen...
And you can save your loads making it much easier to switch between loads moving forward..no adjusting slider on back of scale...
What did it cost? I might just purchase it. I really like my setup I have just not that I have to have a tablet or phone

The real fine stuff it does not like at this time. Paul has some designs for a disk to work with those but will probably not be released till after the new units start to ship. The new dropper handles powder like H110 very good and from what I have seen can get within a tenth to two tenths of a grain without the trickler.
And this is the reason the last thread was shut down.

I think the big update here is that Paul is open to and delivering the IP system piecemeal.
Yep, electronics, IP Tricklers and cups are ready and Paul is willing to send these out now.
He is waiting on parts to get the dumpers and windscreens shipped....
I had mail contact with Paul yesterday and his estimate was that everything should be ready to ship by end of march. I asked him for a rough estimate and this was his answer after telling me "A couple months" initially.
