Accuracy International Picture Thread

Anyone know where I can get these parts? Screw heads on both sides are boogered by the previous owner and I have OCD about this kind of stuff. It’s the folding stock/flush cup retainer and screws on an AX308. Not sure if the stock retainer side is supposed to come apart.

I called Mile High and who ever I talked to “wasn’t familiar with that rifle”. Also, I didn’t see the parts listed on Sporting Services site.

Mile High has a Rep on here. Hopefully they will chime in. And hopefully they will be familiar with it.

Hey,

I will double check with gunsmiths. Do you need the whole set up?

Kent

EDIT: Working on an answer. I sit near the customer service guy and I heard him say he was not familiar with that rifle. He is newish and I told him just to ask me first.

Ok,

Here is what Andrew said:

"
We have everything but the actual plastic female catch.
26535
6821
25114
26243
3290
2477

Those are the part numbers for the complete assembly; it includes the flush cup that's missing from the photo above."

The 26243 is the only part we are missing and he is getting some ordered.

Now if you just want the screws I can get that done.

Let me know

Let me see if I can get the screw out of the catch side. If so, screws alone will solve my problem.

Got it apart. Problem is going to be getting the short screw back into the catch.

Its ass heavy for sure. Locks up tight on that Sawtooth plate though, so not bad on a tripod. I'll have to weigh the whole shebang later. And yes, had to use the 13" forend to clear the 16.5 barrel ok.

Case is a Pelican 1510 I just plucked the foam on. It fits everything suprisingly well. I can't put a wmlrf on and leave it mounted though. I'm messing with a backpack option for that.

Yep.

Those things are a pain to get together I hear. I have all the parts except for the plastic female catch. Do you just want screws? If so PM me and we can figure ot all out or just call me on Monday. Heading to pick up kids now.

I see Euro sells a 10” handguard… wonder how it’d look. certainly wouldnt help the ass heaviness but they were never barricade guns lol. Was thinking about doing something similar for an nrl hunter legal build

I think the 16" hanguard 20" barrel configuration is really pretty ideal for general 308 use. But I was trying to stay close to the original AX Covert configuration.

Guys,

which Harris model was used with the L115A3?
Cant seem to find the correct spec. Guess it is one with the adapter for a sling swivel stud?

I am fed up with the AI bipod. I use an Atlas on my AW but would like to try the Harris just for the sake of originality.

I prefer my AI for the switch barrel capability, prefit availability, and mags. I like the ego's on the trg22 better though. Durability is a toss up since I likely won't break either.

Yep if trgs had prefits stocked and were a little faster for barrel changes it would be money

Here's a new one...

I was cleaning my AT and noticed that the emblem that fits into the side skin was gone. Being that it can't fall out when the skin is on, it must have dropped out when I was installing the comp trigger.

PIC for reference

Is this a part that MHS would have? Any help would be appreciated.

My clone m118lr is getting 2560 out of my 19.75"

Edit: for comparison. My 25" m40a5 gets 2692.

Recipe I follow loaded to 2.82" coal

I’m getting 2700 on the nose with the factory 26” tactical braked barrel. Measured with the Xero.

I think I’ll run the numbers, but can already see the mobility gain will outweigh the velocity Loss with a PRS 1 MOD suppressor brake.

One more data point. 16" gas gun spits the same ammo at 2505.

Not a huge loss of fps from 16 to 20 if mobility is your goal.

You would with a recoilxbrake on the end.... @Vivacious Stallion preach the gospel on this heathen. Careful tho... We might trigger @Smooth_87
I’m going to contact AAC tomorrow and get the thread pitch for their Ranger 7. That way I can confirm if he makes one with that pitch. (I hit him up on IG after talking to you and he wasn’t sure of the R7’s thread).

But yea, if so then yes
