Dealer can definitely matter in my opinion. My dealer I’ve bought 4 from, 3 in the last 10 days, gets the job done very quickly as far is their part in the process. They contact me as soon as it’s approved and have everything ready when I arrive. One was approved kinda late Tuesday night. Wednesday morning the gun shop contacted me about an hour before they opened saying it was approved and they’d have it ready as soon as I could get it.

Form 4, Trust, submitted last Wednesday, March 5th. Approved this morning, March 10th, 5 days. I’ve submitted 3 in the last couple of weeks and times were 3 days, 4 days, and 5 days.
I use the electronic fingerprint files which is nice because Silencershop keeps a copy and submits them along with the paperwork. One less thing I have to do.
I did the same thing with silencer shop. I also used Print Scan service at my local UPS store and now have my own electronic fingerprint .eft file. I had it done for Trust through Capitol Armory, was $50 but the quickest way to get the prints to them and now have it to use for any SOT Vendor.
They are addictive for sure. Picked up my third one in the last week and a half yesterday and bought another one while I was there. They had a FDE Abel Biscuit-S in stock that I wanted for my FDE Knights Armament SR-15 so decided to get it. I think this one will be my last one for a while.
Filing a Form 4 individual and using Silencer Shop was approved in 36hrs! Sent the form around 6:30 PM on a Thursday night and saw the approval email early Saturday morning.

Ha! I bought my first can Dec 6 24, so 3 months ago. After running 60, or so rounds suppressed then shooting my unsuppressed deer rifle, I decided I don't wanna shoot unsuppressed again. I now have 4 in hand and filed a form 4 trust for the 5th last Friday. First 3 were individual, took 36 to 72 hours for approval. 4th SS Trust, took right under a week. We'll see on the 5th. I may have a problemIs it bad that I want to get another one just to see if I can beat 12 days?

I went on a spree after Thanksgiving myself. Ended up getting like 12 cans and 6 SBRs since then. Every time I open the safe and see something with a threaded barrel I just HAVE to order another one. I got lucky again. Certified yesterday afternoon around 4pm and got my approval today at about 4pm. Should be the last can of the year. Well at least that the plan right now. lol
Yes, me and my son. I went to pick up the one up yesterday morning and bought another one. Hoping it’s submitted in the morning so we’ll see how long it takes.

Guess I should have just bought something he had in stock but wanted to try the Huxwrx Ventum to see if the flow through really made much difference. The wait has already taken some of the shine off it

You should have went through Silencer Shop. They have Ventums in stock. If you could cancel you might try that.

But it is getting to the point of doing something different.
Have thought about going the Silencer Shop, Capital Arms route and this might be what pushes me over to them.
Going to give him a bit more time, but that time is getting short.

I’ve talked with ATF, emailed FBI, and lastly emailed my congressman a couple days ago. I get the generic responses from ATF and FBI.
Any other suggestions?
I can’t think of any but it’s got to be frustrating. Hopefully your congressman will help you and will get it resolved. I was surprised with my approval yesterday, didn’t even think of it getting approved that quickly.
My gun shop I use is very good and had the 4 I just bought in the last couple of weeks in stock. I sent them a text on the last one I bought and told them which one I wanted. I went in to pay about an hour later to and walked out to my truck and already had an email from Silencershop to sign the documents. They call or text me as soon as it’s approved to pick it up. Another local gun shop I bought my first one from took forever to do anything.
Form 4 e-file Trust for a PTR VENT 1 filed on 3/7/25. I received the approval email this morning, 3/14/34 at 4:30 AM. 8 days. Now I wait for Capitol Armory for the direct ship to my house, another 10 days. Not bad at all. RTR

Form 4 Individual was finally approved 03.11.2025 after our local Representative inquired with the ATF. Took over 270 days!
After going through Silencer Shop and Silencer Central I think I prefer the waiting in the front end better than the back end. It’s painful waiting the 7 days plus the shipping after it’s been approved. I’m also a person with little to no patience.
Update:I filed 1 today 2-27-25 on a Sig MODX-45 I will be the one guy that takes FOREVERlast one in 2021 took 14 months

I got a DISAPPROVED on this one above back on 3-10-25. Had zero issues with my last can back on 3-12-21 other than it took 14 months to get approved paper filing. Just got a new handgun on 2-16-25 no problems there either, I just don't get it...
Do you have anything after your name like I, II etc? There have been issues with that lately.
