Does anybody have the weight of the atx or Atxc without a barrel? Or ideally without a barrel,bridge and bag rider? Trying to spec out a a build to ride just under 16 lbs. Thanks

ATX Gen 3 Weights

- Action, bolt and trigger 1378g/3.03lbs
- Forend, lower section with grip and bolts 1210g/ 2.66lbs
- Butt stock and fixed adapter 968g/ 2.13lbs

The AT-XC without a barrel is 8.2 lbs, that’s with the bridge (11.6 oz) removed and the factory bag rider replaced with the Bug Hole version. I just set one up for NRL Hunter open heavy with a 7 SAW carbon fiber barrel (3.4 lbs), Vortex LHT, and Cyke double pull and its right at 15.2 lbs.

Seriously considering an ATXC, but keep going back and forth on Sage Green vs Flat Dark Earth.

Love my MC in Sage but some of the XC photos it looks very light/mint color, always had eyes for a FDE AXMC-LE model too…

If we're talking 6 months + I might be just ponying up for an AXSR instead

Surely it wouldn’t be more than a couple months? Maybe I am wrong though.

How's the balance on that setup? Right at front of mag well with bipod attached?

Also is the bolt opening and closing forces truly noticlbly lighter than the prior gen atx's?

The rifle is pretty well balanced but a bit tail heavy. 1-2 sets of external weights (depending on the barrel contour) and she’s just right for me.

With regards to bold lift don’t have experience with other atx but don’t find much difference with the axsa.

Not noticeably lighter if any, but definitely smoother as far as bolt close and open.

This may not be 100% accurate, but it’s worth something.. I just measured my AXSR, AXSA, and ATXC with a pull weight gauge. I hooked it right where the handle meets the black knob on the handle. Here is the average of the results. The ATXC definitely feels smoother, but it is in fact heavier than my AXSA . I assume the XC will get lighter with use. My AXSA has about 800 rounds on it. The AXSR is brand new and the ATXC has about 40.
