I've tested with different bipod locations and a tripod and haven't seen a zero shift either. I still need to test with a bag on a barricade but I can't imagine that's a whole lot different than what I've already done.Only 100 rds but flawless so far. I shot from the tripod quite a bit today and didn't see any zero shift. This rifle flat hammers.
Does Barrett make their own barrel blanks?
Can anyone tell me which pelican case model number the MRAD ships with? I just ordered a 300 prc yesterday, stoked to get it.
If thats not it. PM me, I can go look out in my garageCan anyone tell me which pelican case model number the MRAD ships with? I just ordered a 300 prc yesterday, stoked to get it.
The rifle itself ships in a pelican 1750. The full deployment kit with rifle, 3 barrels, etc. ships in a pelican 1770If thats not it. PM me, I can go look out in my garage
Mine came with the am338 muzzle device. Why, I dunno but it did.Greetings,
I recently purchased the .308 17” version and am looking to potentially use a Barrett suppressor. Does anyone know if the rifle came with the break for the am30 or am338 can? I ask because the am30 seems to be unavailable.
Many thanks for your input.
In my mind it’s to keep the number of parts to a minimum. Put the same functional break on all the versions and you’d only need to manufacture one part and that one part would work with the same suppressor for all calibers.Mine came with the am338 muzzle device. Why, I dunno but it did.
Heavy Varmint profile needed IIRC. Essentially a large shank Savage I believe I was told.Where are you guys getting blanks for the barrel builders kits? Or does any mtu m24 blank work? I’m wanting to build a 7mm saw with my extra kit.

I bet he sleeps safe and sound, let's not overlook the suppressor.View attachment 8723749
Some Army dude
Can you please tell me what pill you are using and what type of velocity you're getting?I bought an MRAD ELR in 416, shoots flawlessly, love how it breaks down like a normal AR-15
Makers kit needs 1.25" and will be milled down to 1.247. OD of threads will be 1.188".1.25 shank vs 1.20?
I'm sorry I have not put it on a chrono yet, I'm shooting the 500gr A TipsCan you please tell me what pill you are using and what type of velocity you're getting?
I can't say for sure if the AM338 will thread on but my guess is that it's compatible. With that said, if you have a MK22 I'd just wait for the right cans to be available.I just got my Mk22 Mod0 and I have a quick question regarding the MK22 suppressors. Will the non-locking AM338 suppressor still mount to the MK22 muzzle device or is it only compatible with the AML338 (Mk22 Suppressor) that is stated to be designed to only lock-up with the Mk22 Advanced Sniper Rifle? I was thinking that since the Mk22 Suppressors have become something akin to Unobtanium then I could just settle for the standard AM338 suppressor.
Your thoughts please and thank you.
Barrett was scheduled to meet with representatives from Picatinny during February 2025. Do you know if anything has been done by Barrett to resolve this situation? ThanksWe knew the triggers had issues 3 years ago. I guess that one is slow to fix, the gun only fires on safe and bolt lift, no big deal! but hey Barrett did a great job fixing literally cracked receivers.
Does frank think guys are shooting 200-300rds of Norma a day? That’s not a fact dude if you’re not in the community why are you a vested party in the mk22 discussion?
Ya know sorry I posted my opinion, sometimes the internet gets the best of me. I’m out.
When were these videos made? I believe the trigger issue on the MK22 has been known for about 3 years. Surprised that Barrett hasn't resolved the issue.
Well videos of auto discharges keep poping up
I think part of the difference is that the MK22 uses a single-stage trigger and the commercial uses a two-stage trigger. I have also read that the problem was with rifles having 2500 - 3000 rounds thru them. In any case, Barrett has known about this issue for quite some time and should have acted on it by now.According to Barrett it is not happening with any commercial rifles. They are working with the Army to figure it out. Sounds like an armorer issue to me.
I asked Barrett about these videos. They did include that they are "old videos" so I don't know when this is occuring.I think part of the difference is that the MK22 uses a single-stage trigger and the commercial uses a two-stage trigger. I've never really felt a reason to distrust them, but transparency is not their strong suit. Any organization I work with these days clarifies the issues, how to know if you're effected, and how to resolve them. These guys could take a page out of that playbook!I asked Barrett about these videos. They did include that they are "old videos" so I don't know when this is occuring.
My understanding is they use the exact same trigger module. So if Barrett is telling the truth about commercial weapons currently not displaying the issue, that leads me to believe that it's either an issue with someone adjusting the trigger module(armorer) or it's an issue appearing at a certain round count, since the military is very likely firing these more often than most civilians. Either way, Barrett needs to get in front of this and start letting people know what's going on.I think part of the difference is that the MK22 uses a single-stage trigger and the commercial uses a two-stage trigger. The commercial MRADs I do believe use a 2 stage, whereas all MK22's mil and commercial side use the same single stage. My understanding is they use the exact same trigger module. I sure hope this doesn't become the norm with Barrett after its sale to NOIA.
