Wait till you got caught by an inspection at the gate. More than a few people had their careers ruined thanks to Clinton disarming Soldiers.^ I've been retired 7 years, and we (multiple senior SNCOs) carried on base regularly when I was in.
We just didn't tell anyone about it.
Would be nice to have it legal though.

In 2016 a rule DoDD made a directive that local commanders could authorize concealed carry. With the emphasis not placed on individual responsibility in our current society, commanders erred on the side of safety for their careers. How soon before we see another FT Hood, Naval Ship yard, Recruiting Station or FT Stewart shooting again, Soldiers were made soft targets by Clinton and kept that way thanks to the weak sauce. Just my .02 aka opinion

You say that but I have met my share of retards that are enlisted and officers. Being a moron and/or risk adverse is not just an officer thing.Crazy thing is the people at the top, and E7 down, are all on board with common sense. It's the bottom officer ranks that act like middle management and do absolutely nothing productive unless it's covering their ass.
There was a Major with a CCW that forgot to secure his pistol when coming onto post at Fort Leavenworth. At the gate he realized that he forgot he had his pistol on him and without being asked he apologized to the gate guard and said that he has a CCW and asked if he could put the pistol away. He was detained and was quickly removed from the military. For him, honesty didn't pay.Well... I didn't.
I've had the random check before. Never did anyone ever get wanded. Run the dog through my truck all you want, gun is on ne.
I share your frustration. I just ignore the B.S.
He uses the Wakandan spelling.Well, there's your problem. He can't even spell Cornelius the right way.
Had something similar happen to someone in our OG but he didn’t volunteer anything, so they didn’t find anything. He was probably one of the ones that had to have someone next to him shooting at the very end of qualification... miraculously his score suddenly jumped just high enough everyone else could go home.Thank god….

The fact he was unarmed, the base commander should be charged and stripped of his retirement. Make it hurt where it should.
