Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

We appreciate all the reviews man. You do a good job on here and your site. That was a damn good test. Kind of wish I had kept the Bobro I had a while back. Safe to say that it's a really good mount and you can sure shoot. A lot different than if I had done it.

Going to the site to watch the ADM RTZ video now since I have that and a LTR

Edit: Watched the ADM test.

I see that the ADM's first shot after remounting is off then it returns to zero.

I wonder how much affect the 5 times dry firing and taking a break between shots for the Bobro made between the two tests? It might have made a slight difference with the ADM test but the first shots after remounting the ADM were pretty bad. After seeing how well you shoot I don't think much, if any of that would be your fault.

It's hard to figure what would cause the first shot to be off like that and the rest of the shots after the first remounted shot be so tight and back to zero.

I just don't see how it could return to zero but only after the first shot once it is removed and remounted, other than not remounting it the same every time.

I can see in the Bobro test that you put forward pressure on it as you remount it but I can't tell in the ADM test. I'm thinking you probably did, but did you slide the ADM mount forward into the lugs as you locked it down?

Good video. It would be better without the hat

Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

Great review. I've always found Bobro's QD mounts to be among the best available. And Andrew is awesome to deal with. I love seeing more of his products coming to the marketplace.

Nice review lonewolf !!!!! Also +2 on that Bobro scope mount got one on my 6.8 AR with the SWFA 1-4 scope and it's on the money.

Yea someone needs their ass kicked for not sending him a Super Sniper hat with the SS 5-20x50 and SWFA BOBRO mount.

A touch of irony there huh.

Without the hat, I would have had chunks of my scalp peeling off. It was evil hot in a way that you can only experience in Southern Indiana and Africa.

I don't know why I wasn't wearing my APO hat. I have been using the hell out of that one lately.

No we would rather have the videos than chunks of scalp peeling off. Keep it up man.

Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

I love the Bobro mount, I just wish they made one with built-in cant.

Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

Yah, built in cant would be awesome... also a half ring for offset RMR would be nice. Andrew stopped answering my email requests about that one though. ;/

Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

Thanks for the review. I'm almost second guessing my GDI order...almost!

There is a short video on the GDI I did at 200 yards, I screwed up the full one which I will do over because I moved both the GDI and Larue off a pic at some point and fouled up the test, but I used the part I didn't mess up.

Look in the group buy section.

Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

It's going to be interesting to see how the mounts stack up.

I also have a Nightforce Unimount here and an AADMOUNT just showed up in the mail today. While they are not QD mounts, I intend to give them the same treatment and see how well they RTZ.

Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

I can see in the Bobro test that you put forward pressure on it as you remount it but I can't tell in the ADM test. I'm thinking you probably did, but did you slide the ADM mount forward into the lugs as you locked it down?

3 minutes into this ADM test it shows you remounting it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYN3NT3UGBo&hd=1

I have one I can try for myself but I can't shoot as well as you do so it won't say as much haha.

The way I understand that test is that the first shot after remounting was off, then leaving it on and without any adjustment the following shots are back to the original zero. Is that right?

Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

Yes, in the ADM test I forward loaded the mount every time I clamped it.

It did appear that after one or two shots it dropped back to the original zero.

I have the HDMR mounted in the ADM mount right now (because it works fine as a standard mount). I may spend a little time seeing if there is a consistent number of shots it takes to "seat" it.

Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

Looks like a good mount, will there be a later video on the scope as well?

Awesome! Appreciate all the videos!

Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

As always, thank you for taking the time to do put these together. It is much appreciated.

I have been running two of Andrew's mounts for some time now and have found them to be excellent. Very curious to see how they match up with the GDI I have inbound.

Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

With the way the crossbar is designed on the BOBRO it fits snug with no play on most pic rails and does not need to be seated forward.

It is amazing to see the difference in rail dimensions from mfg to mfg and BOBRO came up with a pretty ingenious way to deal with the lack of consistency.

Re: BOBRO / SWFA 30mm Scope Mount Review RTZ Test

I have never had any wiggle on any of the rails I have put my Bobro mounts on.

Last week I had my rifle at 600 yards and took my 34mm mount on and off several times with no loss in superficial zero.
