Well only if you consider a hundred or so orders "SLAMMED". An ancient server with a slow connection could handle the likely volume they got. Even if an impossibly high percentage of the likers orderd we are still only talking about 1000 orders and I'd pretty much guarantee they did not get that many.

Don't expect the 1-6x24 scopes anytime soon. I just got an e-mail back from SWFA indicating that they are hoping to get the scopes in late summer but no official ETA.

I think the issue is the individual benchmarks for the 1-6x deal and the 5-20x deal have been met. I imagine most folks wanted one or the other.

Me thinks maybe many peeps who wanted SS 5-20x went for it when 4000 code unlocked. And then peeps, like myself, who only wanted SS 1-6x went for it when 5000 code unlocked. If the only coupon code they offered was the the 10,000 for the 1-6 & 5-20 then possibly we would be at 7500-8000 by now, or just the opposite would happen & we would only be somewhere less than 5000.

I was being rather tongue-in-cheek, but wrong? SWFA is already engaged in gaming social media via this campaign, and we're already engaged in gaming their effort by recruiting people who may have no interest in their products, or even more generally shooting, to further our own personal interest. They get artificially inflated online interest, we get a discount. Along the way, more people will have heard of them that may have been under a rock or would not have considered anything other than their pet brand. A few will make a purchase they otherwise would not have (myself included - they just won or delayed a sale for the vortex 1-6, and potentially bushnell). In that, they see value and so a deal has been struck.
That being said, I think it would not be wise to engage in an activity which would endanger the goodwill of SWFA and/or future opportunities at such a promotion or at a minimum artificially place the entry barrier so high as to be unattainable.

4 months from promotion time to product delivery (April to July) is way too excessive. SFWA gets to get all of these pre-orders and commitments (likely) before they even have their supplier order materials, let alone start cutting any aluminum. This whole Facebook thing is leaving a bit of a ongoing bad taste in my mouth because of the delays. Sure a month or so is fine. I am happy to support a good supplier of a good product before product availability, but again the timing here is not all in favor of the consumer.
It is going to suck to go through most of the summer without my scope on my AR. I suppose I could always cancel the order. Depending on the availability of competing products I may just do so.

I waited for months for the delivery of the deal on the 5-20-50's last year. I traded in one 2k optic for two worth 3k due to the 999.99 price of the group buy. My only complaint is with myself, I should have ordered 4 of them. Can't beat that deal with a stick. And all this impatience with 23 posts and 3 months here. Geeze.

4 months from promotion time to product delivery (April to July) is way too excessive. SFWA gets to get all of these pre-orders and commitments (likely) before they even have their supplier order materials, let alone start cutting any aluminum. This whole Facebook thing is leaving a bit of a ongoing bad taste in my mouth because of the delays. Sure a month or so is fine. I am happy to support a good supplier of a good product before product availability, but again the timing here is not all in favor of the consumer.

I don't think 4 months is excessive. Lately in the firearms industry you have to wait for the good stuff. Especially when it's a product that's not out yet. It is being discounted for this reason. They did it with the 5-20 last year and it was worth it. I wish I bought more than 1. Everyone nowadays is in the gotta have it now mindset. I like getting stuff right away also but I've gotten used to waiting. I've been waiting a year for a jae stock, 2 months for a lw barrel and have 4 months to go before my woa upper is done.
You'll regret not waiting.

4 months is too long? I think that I can speak for a lot of shooters on here when I say...have you bought a good barrel lately? Heck...I waited well over a year for my Broughton barrels to come in (and yeah....they're worth it).
You sir are a leech. If it's not all for you, then screw it right? If it means I take over your order, please cancel and if you have one ounce of integrity you will not participate in a single group buy on this or any other forum.
