Just viewing the upcoming releases this year. Some may have been mentioned, looks like a good line up. "See it"= it might be worth admission, DVD= obvious

Piranha 3DD- looks like more t&a than the 1st DVD
MIB 3- I like the other 2, this should be good. See it
Chernobyl Diaries- Hills have Eyes in Russia. DVD
Ice Age 4- my kid loves those. DVD
Dark Knight Rises- I hear its the last of the Dark Knight series. See it
Bourne Legacy- The first 3 were awesome. See it
Total Recall- total remake, See it (matinee only, otherwise DVD)
Resident Evil: Retribution- saw the last 4 in the theater, might as well See it
End of Watch- looks like Southland made into a movie. See it
Taken 2- tie ins to the 1st one, which was awesome. See it
Red Dawn- its been in the air for 2 years. It will not beat the original, nothing can, but hell, I will See it.
SkyFall- 3rd installment with Daniel Craig as 007. Hopefully it doesnt have a gay Bond like some had talked about. The first 2 were pretty good. See it
Zero Dark Thirty- Hurt Locker-like DVD

There are prolly others. But this is gonna be my list to either go see, or will end up buying it.

Nothing that can't wait for Netflix. Probably take the kids to Ice Age, maybe.

I'm just tired of Hollywoods lack of originality.

Blame the financially risk averse bean counters at the big studios, not the creatives. They are the reason Showtime, AMC and HBO original programming is now generally better than a lot of films.

Doesn't matter to me who's to blame, the end result is still boring movies.

It's hard to justify bringing the kids to see a movie nowadays, especially a movie like that. Nothing is loss by not seeing it on the big screen.

That is a perfect example of "wait for the DVD". The blu-ray/dvd/digital combo pack will be less than half the cost of taking 3 people to the movie when you figure in popcorn & drinks

Borne...check
Taken 2...check
Red Dawn...(brings back memories of high school)...check...
Snow White and the Huntsman...check

The rest will have to wait for Blue Ray.

I was in grammar school when Red Dawn came out. It was one of those, saw it then, but didnt understand it till I watched it again in my teens. Now its just a classic that is almost mandatory to have in the collection.
