Re: June 3, Mayberry Rifle Series Registration is Open

Rifle / ammo question: emphasis on accuracy or speed (time)? How severe a disadvantage would it be to use a bolt gun / loading single rounds, or bolt gun / fixed magazine?

Re: June 3, Mayberry Rifle Series Registration is Open

Speaking for the last two matches - If you are the sort that while under the stress of time fumbles with every single round, or locks up the rounds on the follower, you might find yourself up against the wall.

They had time limits, but if you are experienced at handling a top loader smoothly you should have no problem. There were top loaders there but the guys were definitely squared away with running them and knew how to solve the problems they can sometimes bring.

Re: June 3, Mayberry Rifle Series Registration is Open

Thanks for having us at another good match. Was fun and challengeing at the same time. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into match before hand and for all those behind the scenes.
Thanks to all the sponsors for the Items on the prize table. Was a great group of guys to shoot with. Hold hard. Brock

Re: June 3, Mayberry Rifle Series Registration is Open

A Huge thanks to Steve, Tommy, and all the other guys who made this match happen! I had an awesome time!! The course of fire was well thought out and very challenging. It was good to see a bunch of great guys we don't get to hang out with often enough, and get to share a perfect day of weather at your fine club. The outcome was the icing on the cake, and I truly hope I can make it for the final!!!! Thanks to Tony at TAB gear for another great prize, as well as the other sponsors who donated something to make the end of the day special for those who drew!

Re: June 3, Mayberry Rifle Series Registration is Open

Thanks again to all that put on this match. Had a great time as always.

Re: June 3, Mayberry Rifle Series Results are up!

Damn, you guys are throwing the kitchen sink at us. So far in this series we have:

<ul style="list-style-type: disc">[*]milled Homer Simpson's head at UKD[*]had our scopes all f*cked up and then asked to shoot 1" targets[*]made head shots at 400 yds on terrorists[*]memorized all sorts of crazy target shapes[*]ran around a pond, up a "hill" and then shot for paper score at 600[*]hit targets across the range under a time limit enforced by a trap door[*] Movers, lots of movers[*] Plus lots of other stuff...[/list]

I think we have shoot from the following positions:
Prone
Sitting
Kneeling
Standing
Urban Prone
Roof top
sand bag
rope supported
pole supported
w/ precision gun then w/ carbine
after running and doing jumping jacks
anything else????

Just wait, I'm thinking from a boat or maybe a zip line. Next match gear list will include life jacket and harness.

James you shot a 95/100 at 600Y after running around the pond. That was bad ass shooting, plain & simple.

But you're right - we've been hit with quite a few booger hooks across the series. LOL So much so that I had a ten round mag in my hand at the end of the match waiting for some kind of last minute bush-whack stage. You just can't predict what these guys are going to do.

That mover system they have is the cat's ass. I love it.

Can you guys either post or send the full spreadsheet with the series standings out?

I think at one point I saw Steve over by the pond - dragging a zodiac out of the weeds.....

Keep up the good work fellas!
