Anyone interested in a comp in Roanoke, Indiana ?

We are thinking of putting on a tactical competition in Roanoke Indiana; just south of Ft. Wayne and 1.5 hours north of Indianapolis.

This will be the first comp held at Hillside Shooting Sports. It will consist of 3 or 4 stages, 100-1000 yards, possible milling, target acquisition, know your limits, KD and UKD, etc.

1 day, entry fee TBD, cash payout to top shooters.

Quite a few people interested in this....

We will start to develop the stages, entry fee, dates, etc. Should be 2-3 weeks and I will post the info.

I can't get the range to cooperate on this event. They have a very good range, steel out to 1000, but they are worried about local competitors not participating because the entry fee is higher than $30. I don't think they understand what a tac comp really is or what it takes to make one worth shooting.

Now looking for another location. Will advise.

Nope.

I wanted to put on a "legitimate" tactical comp. After many emails, they didn't seem to be interested. They have a good range, but they don't have the understanding or interest in a tac match that would bring in shooters from out of town.

Sorry I couldn't get the match going.

I will keep my eye open for it. It would be nice to not have to drive a day away...

So it looks like they have "fun shoots" I may have to check into that this coming year.
