since i suck with irons , and since this one has a great bore and overall condition, i decided to put a scope on it.
i want to see what i can get accuracy wise out of it with handloads.
i bought a PEM style mount with 1" rings off ebay
mounted that thing and did a welding job on the bolt handle
i also parkerized the bolt handle part.
it has a nikon m223 2-8x32 on it with the bdc reticel now, and mounted way back its just fine for my long neck...

The stock is in incredible shape! Did you replace it at some point?

The whole rifle looks like an unissued Polish M44...

I think that's a high dollar wookie, maybe the former girlfriend of Chewbacca.

So, how bad does that thing kick? What kind of dies, powder, bullets, and primers can you get there?

Re: m44 bubbad

Love the comment about the Yeti! Also, I too wold like to know about how bad that thing kicks?

Re: m44 bubbad

the rifle is an unissued polish m44, the bore is in as good quality as the stock is

the rifle does kick quite a bit, just like a sporter 30-06 maybe.

i havent tried any home grown loads in it yet, but i do have rcbs dies, some cci LR primers, S&B cases and imr 4350 amongst other powders, and several different cases of 308 diameter bullets. ill try that first, and see if i can get it to shoot with the 308 bullets

the yeti of course is my dog, its a bearded collie

Re: m44 bubbad

Love my m44, paid $72 for it at a gunshot a few years back. Would be neat with a scope. Props to ya looks fun.
