JAE700 has arrived!

Looks are great but how is the feel and function? Have you noticed anything you don't like about it? I am on the fence, but only because of the long wait, but if it feels and shoots as good as it looks I'll have to just tough it out.

To be honest, its probably the most rifle Ive been behind. Im a big thumb shelf fan and the JAE is perfect in that regard. The palm shelf is great, build quaility is top notch - I honestly struggle to think of anything that Id change as far as the ergonomics. My shooting buddy is pretty anti-chassis, and even he admitted it was really nice to get behind.

I keep finding little things I like about it - I didnt opt for the quick detach cheekpiece option, but even then its simply a case of undoing two bolts on the top and popping it off - makes cleaning a breeze (rather than screwing down the cheekpiece on the McM A5). I also really like the fact that ill be able to buy a long action collet and swap it around if I feel that way inclined.

If it was a little bit lighter, I dont think anyone would really be able to fault it.

LOL...figured as much. I like the JAE700, and really wanted one...like three years ago. Finally just labeled them unobtainium and moved on. Glad to see they are finally seeing the light of day.

I know it's my first post on this account, but I've been here before;)hey guys!Anyways, I'd like to say nice stock! I can't believe these are actually showing up finally either. I was one of the ones that ordered it locally while on leave, went on tour, then got the "It'll be done next month, etc." deal...though Lisa was a sweetheart to deal with, the product wasn't being finished any faster. I ended up cancelling after 18 months, I'm glad to see them out now though for those with the patience. Nice stix

I just received mine (bought off a member here) and I'm more than pleased with it. I can't say much about it that hasn't already been said. It's the best built stock/chassis I've ever owned. The workmanship and attention to detail is top notch. When I received it, I dropped a .308 barreled action in it and went shooting.

I have been trying to convince myself that I don't need one of these. I am calling tomorrow to put my order in, and send in my deposit. These look awesome, sweet rigs.

I'm very happy with it. The only complaint I have is that the cheek piece has a very sharp angle and it gets very slick when you sweat while shooting. This will be an easy fix with some type of pad.

Looks great Trev, I like the color combo.

You even got the QD cheekpiece you lucky devil - luckily its only two bolts to completely remove it. Genuine bottom rail too - I had to make something work out of a random piece of picatinny off my old Viperskins as the Aust. distributor doesnt have any of their accessory order yet ><.

They really are bloody heavy though - Im beginning to think a 7WSM would be cool in it.

I'll jump in and concur with everything already stated. A real pleasure to shoot with one of these stocks...Congrats on both of you receiving your stocks.

Well now this is turning into something exciting, a JAE-700 picture thread... It's nice to see people actually have their stocks and are enjoying them.

Hi guys.... my brother and I ordered out stocks with deposits back in 2010. I forgot all about it till today when my brother asked me. He paid around $700 and I paid around $1200 as a deposit. We asked asked LIsa for a refund in late 2010 for a refund cause it was almost 10 months since we placed the order with no response. Lisa said the first batch was as short time away and that we were in the second batch. We kept the order in place and left it at that. I do some research today and see that guys have been receiving their stock now. One guy even said he placed his order this February and was told his would be 8 to 10 months out. We have called and sent emails to them with no response. Still to early but I wanted to ask you guys if you have had good responses form J. Allen? Are they still in business? Thanks guys.

Which e-mail addy are you using? The "[email protected]" address Lisa checks pretty regularly. I waited a long time for mine, but she was always responsive. Was yours a long action or short action variant?

They were both short. She did respond and was told they moved recently and had to deal with hiring more people. She said we will get ours by the end of the week. Glad to see they are still in business.

Good to hear that! Yes, JAE has been a victim of their own success and have had some serious growing pains. I figured they were close to completing another run; they are on FB and had just posted pics the other day of completed stocks...

Sorry.... meant end of the month. I was just "concerned" since I can see that guys who ordered theirs after us were getting them. Plus I never got a call updating me on our orders. If we never called her, they would have probably forgot about us. Well at least hope they would not have. But non the less, she stepped up and stated we should get it by the end of the month. Not sure if she is going to push ours through or we got lucky and called when our order was up. Just be happy to hold it soon.
