Just got the new Manners EH-4 in today for my little "project" hog rifle. I've had several McMs but this is my first Manners and it is very impressive.

I haven't seen many pics of the EH-4 around so I figured I would put some up.

Obviously, it is extremely light, but very strong. Seems to have less flex in the forearm than my previous HTG. The whole rig as shown below weighs exactly 11.0 lbs on my bathroom scale (empty mag and bi-pod removed) and that is with a 26" Rem varmint contour. The EH-4 appears to be just like the MCS-T but 3.35" shorter. I think it would look a little better with a 22" or shorter barrel (may end up chopping some off).

I think Manners hit a home run with the EH line.

Big thanks to Tom Manners as well as Todd with US Gunworks, who painted the stock (desert GAP), both were awesome to work with.

Also wanted to say that Karl Feldkamp is awesome. He got my bolt last Wednesday and had it back to me this morning (4 business days). He is amazingly efficient.

Specs:

Rem 700 factory barreled action in .243, 26" (Walmart special ADL)
Timney 510
NXS 3-15x56
Kampfeld flutes with his "Hunter" bolt knob
Manners EH-4 with DBM mini chassis

Looks awesome. I'm thinking of doing something similar except in the EH3 with a stainless ADL .243. Should make for a nice overall rig.
Congrats - really like the paint on that stock!

How do you feel about the quality and feel of the Manners compared to the McMillans you own? I'm in the market for a stock in the T2 or A3 area and cant decide who to go with.

I have a Rem Model Seven in 308, shilen varment cut to 23.5" JP brake, in a HS precision now but want a vertical grip stock and its really hard to find stocks for the 7 so I have to get one made. I really like the T2 over the A2 or A3 but like McMillans GAP camo better!

I LIKE IT!! What load do you plan on using? Cant wait to see how it shoots.

I've been shooting it a while, in the POS factory stock. It actually shot great from the get go. It won't stabilize the 105's, but the 95's and under shoot very well.

My hunting load is H4350, 80 grain TTSX, right at 3400 fps.

Nice I have a EH2 on order for a .308 build. Was looking @ the EH4 but was scared to order being that my barrel will be 24". If at all possible could you take a dead on side pic of whole rifle with no angle?

Looks like a schweet stock for throwing on a fluted light palma for those hunts that you walk in and take one shot.
Anyways, I like your rig.

Here you go.

For comparisons sake, the rifle below is in a McM Tac Hunter stock, which is 31.5" long, about the same as the MCS-T (it has a 29" barrel)

The EH-4 is 28.25" long and with the 26" barrel. I still think it would look much better with a 24"-22" barrel, which are my long term plans. Got a long ways to go before I burn out the factory tube.

Hope that helps with your decision.

It sure did thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!

I had an EH4 on order. I like a little shorter than standard for end, maybe 2" shorter. After seeing a couple of pics of actual EH4s and realizing the forend was significantly shorter than standard, I called and changed the order to an EH2. I'm running a 24" barrel, and the forend was just too short for my taste with that barrel length. Manners was very good about the order change. Great folks...

I have been eyeing up these stocks for the past few days. How does the rifle balance with the lighter stock? Is it fairly front heavy or does that Nightforce help some?

I've got one on order for a personal .308 hunting rifle with an 18.5" barrel. Looks like it should work out great!

It is a tad front heavy with the long barrel, not bad though. I will be chopping it down, which were my plans from the get go. It should be perfect for a 20-22" tube.

Here's my EH-4 with a 20" barrel. Still too long for the stock in my opinion. I now have a 16" McGowen on order

glock24, I seem to recall you said you had inlet issues using the Accurate-Mag DBM...did you order your stock for a Savage factory DBM or something else?

Yessir, that was me. I ordered the Savage factory DBM inlet, which is the only Savage inlet Manners will do besides the CDI inlet. The Accurate-Mag DBM would not fit. There was a significant interference right at the front of the inlet (toward the fore end). When I Dremeled out the interference to fit the Accurate Mag, I busted right through the wall of the stock and into the recoil lug pocket. I had to fix everything with a bit of Devcon.
