I like Direct actions. That a clever one.

thanks, if lucky enough to be chosen, i'd like to post the action for sale for less than retail price, and donate 50% of proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project.

not that i wouldn't appreciate the action, i just don't have enough $ right now for the stuff that attaches to it. plus giving something back to those that gave a lot for us.

Artisan Actions

"Our machined custom rifle actions are a work of art"

"Choose from the DaVinci, Picasso, Rockwell, Warhol, etc..."

Could also use some kick ass engraving on the actions in relation to the artist...

I like Mohegan Precision Arms or Possibly Mohawk Precision Arms!
It opens up many possible indian names for future models if you like.

Ghostcoyote;

With genuine respect, it's spelled "Mohican".

I was a Brotherhood member of Mohican Lodge #178, Order of the Arrow while it was still in existence. In NY City, Members of the surviving Mohican Tribe/Nation have traditionally done at least a lot of the high-rise steelwork for construction in the City.

These days, the unauthorized use of tribal names and terms could attract action under civil law.

Aspis Arms (or Aspis Actions, Rifle Works, etc)
Ancient Greek general word for shield, that leaves you with plenty of great model names Like XIPHOS (short sword carried by Greek warriors).
The specific shields carried by Greek warriors were called hoplons, the warriors themselves were hoplites so you could also go with
Hoplite Arms, etc
Hoplon Arms, etc
I like Aspis best though, over hoplon&hoplite at least
Sometime beat me to Phalanx, that's a great one too!

Unified Action Works
Unified(United) Stealth Actions
Stealth Action Co.
LSA Actions, or action works, whatever gives you wood (LSA meaning, Land, Sea and Air to cover all our branches of military service) Then that opens up tons of options for specific action names like Seal, Ranger, Delta, Green Beret, SDM(Squad Designated Marksmen), et al

You do realize that there is a Mohegan tribe right?

Also, Mahican is actually the proper name for the tribe that inhabited the Hudson River Valley. The name Mahican is often spelled Mohican.

Respectfully,

Gideon Arms Gideon developed the strategy of guerrilla warfare, and it was to be the Israelites' chosen method of fighting for many centuries. He was Israel's fourth judge in the time between the death of Joshua and the beginning of the monarchy (a 'judge' at that time was not a legal official, but someone who was filled with the spirit of God and led military campaigns to defeat Israel's enemies.

DTF Actions, DTF will obviously catch people's attention, guys anyway. It would stand for "Death and Taxes Function". As sure as death and taxes, the DTF Actions will be equally as reliable.

Action names could be death related or money related. The Reaper, the Benjamin, etc.

Four Horsemen Arms

Logo and models self explanatory. Also coincides with your other company.

Absolutely right, Chip; I should have done the research first.

Mahican/Mohican

Mohegan

James Fenimore Cooper based his novel, The Last of the Mohicans, on the Mahican tribe. His description includes some cultural aspects of the Mohegan, a different Algonquian tribe that lived in eastern Connecticut. Cooper set his novel in the Hudson Valley, Mahican land, but used some Mohegan names for his characters, such as Uncas.

The novel has been adapted for the cinema at least half a dozen times, the first time in 1920. Michael Mann directed 1992 adaptation, which starred Daniel Day-Lewis as a Mohican-adopted white man.

The Order of the Arrow borrows from the dictionary of the Delaware Tribe (The Lenni Lenape in their own language) and gives names to successful Ordeal Initiates. My ceremonial name is Meechgalanne, meaning "Hawk", given because I was said to "look from on high", a reference to my nearly 6 1/2' height.

I was fortunate to have to opportunity to take several Native American history lectures from a fantastic professor. Once in a while I can remember bits and pieces of those lectures. Amazing stuff.

Incidentally, as you have Native American roots, are you familiar with tori mandibular? My wife, whose family includes Native American lineage, all exhibit this. If you are not familiar, check it out. Essentially its a symmetrical nodular bony enlargement in the mandibular premolar region. It is quite common in Native Americans, Asians, and Inuits. Interesting stuff, many people never realize they have this condition.

Arrow Arms. Simple, easy to engrave and to the point. Arrow point could be the A's in Arrow and Arms, for pretty cool logo.
