Here are a few of mine. They are stacked tight in my garage, and most are projects of reassembly to a certain degree or another.

^^^ Nice TR-6, too!

Drinking and playing on eBay... last time I did that, I ended up with an 11-volume video library of Momma's Family -- on Betamax.

Sage advice!

Cheers,

Sirhr

TR-6 was another drinking/ebay story. The King's Mtn Indians have crashed in value since Polaris bought the brand.

El Bandito!!

03 1200 bandit
Dale walker jet kit
And..... 2007 crf 450 handle bars

Gets used as a do it all bike. Commuting, twistys, off road and lots of back road gravel. Has torque like a tractor. 40k miles, has been layed down a few times and it went through a heard of deer where it lost the original handle bars. Still don’t want a different bike, I ll ride her till she blows then buy another.

1982 Honda CB-750F SS, silver with blue stripes, Freddie Spencer colors. Looked for years to find an all original and completely stock one to replace the one I bought new in 1979 and foolishly sold 2 years later. Found it in Chicago, bought her from the original owner in 2015 with just under 10,000 miles. IMHO, one of the sexist naked bikes ever made, it goes when I go.

My 97 TL1000S. This is the full-strength, pre-neutering version. The thing is just loads of tire-shredding-power-wheelie silliness.

Is it fuel injected?

Nope. Not ready to jump on that bandwagon yet. I don't like the idea of buying an $800 tuner to do what a $2.50 jet could do. Plus, losing the ability to change my power valve spring is no bueno.

The Holy grail of a modded out FZ1, Front end is complete 07-08 R1, all Traxxion hardware and yes that is a true full Muzzy system you see. Ported boots airbox, much more to list, she gets it ! bout 140 to rear tire, it’s not top tier sport bike but it’s respectable and super plush.

I had an 02. Probably the best do-it-all-sporty-bike out there. Mine met it's demise with a stolen Saturn in Atlanta.

The thought of picking up a used one has crossed my mind. Looking back, it seemed I always had the most fun on my YZ and a few of my lighter dual sports while trying trials type stuff. Trying to stop on top of a log with the front end up, etc. Basically, just messing around on obstacles at low speed.

After almost 7 years and countless hours searching for rare parts on eBay... 38 Chief is done! Inaugural ride this morning.

E604680B-E243-475F-BDB7-F4ECBE88620D.jpeg

I did all the component work except the engine bottom end. And a young man from Maine did the final assembly and tuning. He is starting his own shop and this was his first big project. And he hit it out of the park!

Photos do not do justice to the black, Nickel and gold leaf on the tank!

Cheers, Sirhr

The HD is mine. Bought brand new while checking out some free beer and burgers at a local HD stealership. The CO fell in love with it and a week later was in the garage. Sat for 5 years up on a jack stand at one time as I was too cheap and lazy to plate it, buy a battery, blah...blah...blah....just over 5K miles on it and many other scooter trash HD riders are shocked at just how fast it is when I take it to 9,000 RPM's. The Rebel belongs to my daughter as of this morning. She completed the state's motorcycle rider's course last month and stumbled across this 1999 Honda with 2400 miles. It is her first scooter and fits her perfectly. To say that I was nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs as I followed her on the test drive is an understatement. Super clean and maintained. I let her make the deal (private owner) while I stood in the shadows.....some great looking bikes members! Ride safe!

P.S. I know nothing about the Rebel series, but they appear to have a solid track record, I would appreciate any testimony and experiences on this (250 CC twin cylinder, dual exhaust)model.

The Rebel is the best starter bike ever created in all time. I have recommended (and bought) a half-dozen of them for starting riders over the years...because they are one of the best first bikes.

Great photo! Rebels Rock! They are the stepping stone to a life of awesomeness on the road!

Cheers,

Sirhr

Oh and I love V-Rods! I want one some day, but I have too many bikes. There is so much amazing engineering in a V-rod. One of the first bikes to use hydro-forming. So much power per CI. Gorgeous in all their iterations!

V-Rods are among the best thing HD did in the last 20 years!

Despite the fact that a lot of dillweeds dismiss them as unworthy. Guess who's unworthy? V-Rod haters!

Cheers,

Sirhr

Nicely done!
Here's a pic of my father, grandfather and grandmother in about 1943 in Cuba.... I'm sure that bike is somewhere on the island, rusting away and gathering dust.

Somebody is probably driving it every day. Have you seen the cars they still drive.

Pretty work Sirhr!
I love the leaf spring front ends so much I am using one on my 47 chief bobber build. Kiwi reproduces these and complete bikes. Started with a frame and engine so not enough parts to do an original build. The one modern touch will be hydraulic brakes, finally found a retro looking master.

Noticed we have lots of riders around here. Show us what you ride. I'll start with the rescue Bandit I picked up last year. It needed fork seals, tires, and lots of detailing. Came with factory hard cases and 10k on the odometer. Pic was taken just after unloading.View attachment 6889700
Nice bike, I love my 02 Bandit.

Bandit has Dale Walker stage 1, with his can, GSXR intake cam. Next to it is my old Suzuki GS.
