The Fix from Q

For you guns hunting with your fix, what sling are you using? Not looking for a “tactical” multi-use sling. Just comfortable, minimal sling that somewhat fits the aesthetic of the rifle.

I'm using the blue force gear sling with the pad on it. It's a little tacticool but does the job for me in my stalk hunts.

I'm running the Vickers padded sling too. Fairly comfortable, and the pull tab is nice for quick adjustments.

Any chance you could drop a pic or two or the placement?

Here is a picture. I extended the velcro onto the magwell flare to create a bit of a ramp so that an inserted magazine doesn't "peel it off".

Yeah the wait time was bullshit but do you expect when you got some kid running the business. What do you think could be better? Other than a more substantial pull tab it’s feature packed but minimal and excellent as far as I’m concerned.
I said I liked it, just not enough to wait 9+ MONTHS to receive an order....yes I believe I could do better on the communication and logistics side of things.

The 16in b/t 308 barrel is still tempting. Part of my issue is that I don’t know how much I would really switch the barrel. Then I feel like I wasted money having my 22 creed staying in the closet

IMHO the 16" barrel configuration is where this gun shines. I've got a 24" proof barrel and do love to shoot it; however, I bought this gun for hunting. With the 16" and a trash panda suppressor, and low variable power optic....#BestHuntingRig

Couldn't agree more.

Members,
Personal attacks and butthurt crusades in the technical forums will not be tolerated.

Stick to the topics and stick to what is relevant to the forum and the shooting community.
No judgment passed on who's right or who's wrong. This just simply is not the place for that kind of mudslinging.
Take the trash to Facebook, where it belongs.

Thank you!

I am new to the 6.5 creedmoor caliber. Can someone recommend a bore guide that works well with The Fix? Also what size patch do you use. Thank you in advance.

Just came back from bear hunting in Montana with the Fix. Was a joy to carry especially through thick brush.

We staked out a spot a few hundred yards across a lake from where we saw a bear. I found that using my Hatch Bipod fully extended into the pickup bed gave a really nice stable position. We were downwind and hiding behind the truck. Unfortunately the bear didn't come back.....

That's awesome! Sorry the bear didn't return.

Is that the 16in creed? First one I have seen posted that I can recall

I think his 6.5 was a 24" proof barrel . so its his 308
still cool though

What caliber did you hunt with?

Did anyone get a cherry bomb when they ordered barrels? I thought they came with them and now there is a note saying no cherry bombs

Looking forward to finally getting to the range Monday to shoot my Fix. I switched the barrel to .308. It didn’t come with instructions so I watched Kit Badgers video on you tube which helped. Any input on about how many rounds it takes to break in the barrel?

Just an FYI...there are instructions on Q’s website that you can also probably print out as well for keep.

I did about 100-150 rounds to break in my 308. Some shoulders might not be able to handle it due to the lack of manliness. Enjoy and work on fundamentals because the 308 in this light of a setup will expose you.
