Local news is eulogozing Big Papi this morning (I'm not dead yet!).

Its a local story so its getting big coverage.

Odd that the local is reporting "No motive" for the shooting.

Saint Papi was just out enjoying himself in the Caribbean paradise that is the DR when he was shot.

Perhaps if the US would repeal 2A all would be well.

Doesnt my local media investigate anything or do they think we dont read other news?

Seems like Saint Papi was a "ball player" and someone sent him some chin music for crowding the plate.

Fake news, the DR has very restrictive gun laws so there's no way he got shot. We all know gun laws keep people safe.

Martinez was voted into the HOF this year, but as a (mostly) DH he still only played half the game. Pete though, absolutely agree he belongs in the HOF. Best catcher ever to play the game, period.

FWIW I didn’t bat in a game from 14-23yrs old.

I didn't realize that youth baseball has went to American League rules. Everywhere I played the pitchers batted as well.
