Never had a mechanical issue with mine. They are overbuilt, which is absolutely awesome if the extra weight and mass doesn't affect you too much. I even fed Pyrodex handloads through mine and despite the fouling buildup after a couple of mags, it still muscled right on. Cleaned it up afterwards, good as anything.

They definitely do not nearly look as 'homey' and traditional as a M1911, but it gets the job done.
