Rifle Scopes Reticles for Meopta Optika 6 scopes.

The one that is gong into 5-30 is a little different. Same tree, but no circle.

On this one, I added the circle to help with visibility on low power for hunting.

Uh yeah, this one is very, very good. At least for me, it's exactly how I would have wanted it to be, only much better executed than my capabilities. I'm so glad there will be a FFP reticle option that works on movers at lower power. It's about time. I've got a 3-18 on order for my "precision hunting" bolt gun, a 4.5-27 for an incoming .22 trainer and the 5-30 is going on an HMR Pro. Might try my hand at a couple of PRS events with it.

Let me know how you like them in the actual product.

I will hopefully get one to play with out of the first batch as well.

Someone else posted it either in this thread or the Optika 6 thread.

Ilya,
Could you encourage the Meopta to put the final reticles on their website (as soon as available), and to make them an image that can be expanded so that one can see it more clearly? Though I continue to see these scopes backordered, I think their sales would increase even more if they were to do this. Thanks for your time and feedback.

Saw on other thread "New Meopta Scope- Optika 6" that entry 128 had some pics and entry 139 had a direct link to their catalog; thanks to both of you. Still hoping for larger images of the reticles, though.

I was going to buy a Midas tac for my v22 when this and the new Night Force NX8 were first mentioned so I held off. Really want to put the 5x30 on my rifle, the reticle. @koshkin nice job!

I am a Meopta fan , have S2 spoter and 8x32 bins both under Cabelas brand ,they are well built and compare well with my slc 10x42. Also have a zeiss conquest that I believe Meopta built. So I'm pretty sure the build quality and glass will be good, what I don't have any experience with is if they make other scopes that track well? I know we will have to wait and see on this model but does anyone have any knowledge of Meopta turrets and tracking? Really thinking I'm going to jump on one before the reviews come out, unless someone gets an early model.

Historically, Meopta scopes have held zero and tracked well. I do not think they pay much attention to the click feel on hunting scopes (for obvious reasons), but I have never had tracking issues with Meoptas.

I expect Optika6 to build on that, but time will tell.

They know there is an issue with the way the website is done and they are working on it.

I should have high res images fairly soon, but here is a low res snapshot to give you an idea.

Which reticle are you curious about?

If that reticle is available in the 5-30x56, I’ll definitely pick one up. Looks similar to Nightforce’s MIL XT
Do u have any info on parallax and pricing?

Parallax is supposed to be down to 25 yards if memory serves me right.

For pricing, you'll have to talk to one of Meopta dealers. I think it was supposed to be in the $1000-$1200 range, but I could be wrong.

Ilya,

Would you please share your opinion on the glass quality of the 1-6x compared to the P4Xi?

Thanks in advance

It is not out yet, so I have no idea. I designed three reticles for Meopta, one of them is going into the 1-6x24 (another is for the 3-18x50 and a third one is for the 5-20x56), so at some point I'll test it and have a better idea. I think the first one out is the 3-18x50, so that is likely to come first.

Thanks and whenever you can provide an opinion for the 1-6 vs the P4Xi that would be great. I am interested in the Steiner for a .223 SBR but will wait until the Optika 1-6 get some use time before making a final decision.

Do you know what specific model/part numbers this reticle is available in? I've seen on a few websites they're advertising an "illuminated mildot" in the 5-30 model, specifically the MPN 653601. Is this the reticle that's in that part number? I just want to make sure I'm not going to find the old-school mildot when the box shows up on my porch

This specific reticle will be only in the 5-30x56. Meopta calls this reticle MRAD. I do not know the specific part number of the scope it will come with.

MRAD1 is the version with the donut that will go into the 3-18x50

MRAD2 is a reticle I designed for them for the 1-6x24FFP.

Mil-Dot is a different reticle that is their legacy design.

I am not sure which ones they will end up offering, but I like ones with a sort of christmas tree shape on the bottom half. I also prefer that it makes a full "+" sign instead of a capital "T" shape. Also, I prefer thicker lines for ease of visual at longer distances. Thanks for asking; I appreciate the courtesy.
I am excitedly looking forward to seeing more information about these scopes, especially the 5-30x56 FFP w/ 34mm tube. Thanks again!

Ilya, any chance of the MRAD1 3-18 in dichroic or has that ship sailed for the time being? I love the illuminated version FWIW.

Well I just submitted a pre-order for the 5-30 with the illuminated MRAD reticle (not Dichro). Part number turned out to be 653608 for anyone else wondering. Gonna be a pretty big improvement over my Sig Tango4 I think!

Thats a lot of ret choices...not sure why the 4D Dichro wouldn't be available on the 2.5-15x44 SFP? That would be a great Eastern whitetail hunting scope.

Within the Optika6 line, the 2.5-15x44 is probably the closest to a somewhat conventional general purpose hunting scope.

Agreed, and if they had the 4D Dichro in it I'd pre-order one for my father in law today.

The BDC Dichro would be a good option.

Hes an old fart who wouldn't like all that "trash" haha. He has old eye too though, I might be able to talk him into this 3-18x50 even with the "side focus contraption" on it.

Understood completely.

I assume reticle feedback is closed, but the mil xt or athlon (cronus btr) with a .5 mil ghost through the tree would be my vote for the higher magnification ffp scopes.

Trying to order the 5-30x56
With the xmas tree reticle in mils, is that the RD reticle?
It looks like you’re supposed to choose between zero stop and locking turrets

Yeah, I'm not sure what they have going on there with the choices. Some of it really does not make sense.

Can one of the Meopta reps on here post the subtensions for the zplus? I can't tell from the catalog pictures if the center dot is open or closed? And it looks huge depending on what picture your looking at. Thanks!

You're gonna be looking for the one labeled MRAD reticle, MPN 653608. From what I understand, ALL the 5-30 models have locking turrets and zero stops.

Also I saw this posted on another forum. It helped me sort through some of the dvor confusion when looking at the mrad version. I think I'm gonna grab a 4.5-27 mrad.

Hopefully these two charts will clear up some confusion, I am also attaching the MRAD2 that is in the 1-6 (good job @koshkin) and the .308 and 6.5CM Reticles.

I just purchased a K16i SM1 and if Ilya’s 1-6 MRAD reticle makes it into an updated Meotac line = definite time trade up!

Good to see Meopta start moving with the times as they could easily become one of the biggest/well known players out there. Been trying to tell people that since I first bought one 12 years ago.

I have a K16i w/ 3GR reticle. Awesome optic and it's hard to give up on that eyebox and FOV for a dynamic weapon system. With that being said I did compare it directly to my R2 1.7-10 @ 6x on both and the Meostar has significantly better glass. (less CA, lower edge distortion, higher contrast, punchier colors)

I can't expect the Optika6 to meet that at 1/3rd the cost but I'm confident it'll punch way above it's price point. I have an MRAD2 1-6x on order as well so I'll try to do some low-rent comparisons. I'm no Ilya.

FWIW, I have spoken to MEOPTA about including these new reticles in their higher end models with the addition of side parallax on some R2/R1 models. The 2.5-15x56 now has a side parallax option and though it is SFP, I think it's a great piece of glass when combined with the BDC3 reticle for longe range hunting.

Comparing a 1-6x24 with a 1.7-10x42 is not really apples to apples.

That having been said, the Meostar R2 is an excellent 1-6x24 and if you have a chance to compare it to your Kahles do so. When I tested it, they did not have anything other than a simple hunting reticle in it, but it was very easy to use (I compared it to Razor Gen 2) and it had a good illuminated reticle.

Mrad 2 that I designed for the Optika6 was intended for a FFP scope. For a SFP scope, I would do it a little differently, especially since R2 has very bright reticle illumination.

I have the 1-6 R2. Meant to compare that at some point but haven't got around to it. I only compared to the 1.7-10 to see if I was willing to sacrifice FOV for an extra 4x magnification, knowing I was going to run an offset red dot as a compliment. Decided for my use case to stick with the better FOV. If it was a hunting situation, I would have chosen the other way.

I ordered one of the DVOR specials, Meopta Optrika 5-30x56 34mm with MRAD reticle. Site says shipping in three weeks although not holding my breath. I will post a review when it gets in. Sounds to good to be true, I hope I am wrong. If I am, $690 shipped was a pretty good deal, I think!!!!!!

Wow that is a smoking good deal. I hope these are at least 1/2 as good as we all expect them to be.
Fingers crossed

Where is the battery located on the illuminated reticle scopes. On the left side by the parallax adjustment or on the eye piece?
