Rifle Scopes Swampfox scopes Good or bad?

I called out the Mike guy in a thread on arfcom where he was claiming that and his backpedaling was pretty funny to say the least. He also claimed that the factory is run by American workers. IMO they’re liars. They’re way too small to actually own the factory. I think it said they had like 5 employees and like $270K/year revenue. They’re very small, no way in fucking hell do they own a multi million dollar factory.
He also claimed that the factory they own makes scopes for major companies and seemed to not have a clue what I was talking about when indicated that OEM type manufacturers usually have non competes in place with the companies they manufacture for that wouldn’t allow them to market their own products in the same market. So if they did own the factory and were marketing their own product in the US market under swamp fox then it would potentially open them up to lawsuits from the companies they manufacture for.
Read their warranty, even that sounds like a load of shit and a way to dance around denying claims.
They’re just another company that contracted a sweat shop to make optics for them that’s reselling the junk to you at a 300-500% mark up.

Quality is everything in the long run! There are good scopes to be had in that price range. I really don't follow ALL these new pop up companies and who know if they will be around come next year? I guess we should start w what are your intentions w this scope? Hunting, LR Comp, PRS, Plinking? Will your scope handle being pounded by a 338? Look for a good used scope from a reputable company that has a proven track record. I have a buddy thats always looking for next best thing at a budget price. Jumps over dollars to saves pennies NOT WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN!!!!!

that's funny since nf glass is also made in japan and china same as 80% of all the glass out there athalon , Bushnell, vortex , and many others so are they trash as well ? Ferrari made cars that broke don't mean It's all bad or all good you just hope they stand beside there product and make It right if something is wrong . And as far as I can see companies like vortex do and a few others do. I just hope swamp fox is another that does cause my 22 is getting one soon .

I believe it really just matters where they source most of the materials for the specific product. I think with NF they can be marked either made in japan or made in america, as I said, it's dependent on where the main materials were sourced from. NF has been working with the premier Japanese firm since their earliest days.

I bought a 6-24 Patriot specifically to run Base class for NRL22. Its MSRP combined with a CZ 457 Pro Varmint hit below the price threshold.
Scope is what it is- a copy of a Vortex Diamondback tactical. Mushy turrets, no zero stop, and just usable glass. Shooting NRL22 with it is doable as our COF is almost always 100 yards and under (we do occasionally add 200-300 yards stages). I do like the included throw lever for the power ring.
Reputation and warranty in consideration I'd have rather had a Diamondback Tactical, but the MSRP puts it just over the threshold for this set up. Wish manufacturers would stop inflating their MSRP 10-20% over their MAP pricing.

I am moderately certain the company behind SwampFox is the OEM for the Diamondback tactical, so it is not a copy. It is the same scope. It is an older design, but return rates on it are quite low. It just soldiers on.

There is a HUGE difference between an American manufacturer legitimately sourcing some components from suppliers who are better than they at that particular competency and buying a 100% Chinese product which is mostly a theft of others IP and/or profits/taxes on it go on to finance a government who sees nothing wrong with wholesale industrial espionage and IP theft.

Heh, I've got a old BCM 410 SS upper laying around that could use a cheaper 1-10x. I bought a Crimson Trace 1-4x refurb for cheap, but it's kinda meh. Nice glass but that's about it. Think i'll grab a new 1-10 Razor but wanting a cheaper option for this gun.

Where are your home appliances made? Where are your electronics made? Outdoor/yard equipment? Picture frames? The clock on your wall? Hand tools? Ink pens? How many Chinese made parts are in your vehicles? Any of you shop at ChinaMart, aka WalMart? Can any of you guys swearing off anything Chinese made honestly say you have or use nothing Chinese?

You lost a screw or two from your scope mount (they have a mind of their own), the OEM replacements can be ordered but the wait is excessive so you go on McMaster and can have them the next day. Chances are very good they will be sourced from China, if not then offshore for sure, just as the OEM sourced them.
And yes, contrary to mainstream media/dingbat politician claims, China is our number 1 threat.

I am Union and a strong believer in trying to always buy American made products. With any product i purchase, i ALWAYS look to see where it was made. So "YES" it does make me feel better...knowing i did my part to the best of my knowledge trying to help another AMERICAN family!

I still want to see one of them in person mostly just to physically see it I am in no hurry so its all good .
A buddy of mine already received his but medical problems have prevented the test run. He did mention that he loves the reticle though.
It seems like a pretty decent scope, but I have not spent a ton of time with it. It is next on the list though.
I have spent quite a bit more time with the 1-10x24 Arrowhead and like it quite a bit. It is very nice for the money and Kentucky Long seems to be quite good too given the price.
