The council on Aug. 10 voted 7-1 to approve the spending plan that will reduce funding to the police department by 14 percent for the remainder of this year. The budget approved by the council, however, was far below the 50 percent reduction that some members had lobbied for and community groups had demanded. But the vote led to a formal and informal efforts to recall some council members.

A 50 percent cut would be about right. Make them focus on actual crimes instead of tax slave tax and harassment

There aren't that many pimps and gangs in Seattle, it's too fucking expensive. What they do have is Asian connected human trafficking. How about hiring a former Yakuza instead and actually getting shit done?
$500-750,000 will get you a 1000+ sqft. ranch that needs renovation in Seattle. I had to move two hours away to find a house for 1/3rd that. They do NOT have the same problems --in fact, they don't have ANY problems save the social justice shit they adopt. It's marginally more mainstream than Beverly Hills.
