From what I’ve heard, the OL coaches they got rid of were more of a problem than the players. The system they were trying to use was overly complicated and difficult for the players to pick up. Just based on that, the offense should be marginally better. And if the offense can improve to just “not too shitty” they can definitely make the playoffs. And, if the defense stays even a tiny bit healthier than last year they should be better than ‘18 which is insane to say
Don’t hold your breath waiting on more run game, that’s not how an Andy Reid offense works
I'm not as big of a Bears fan as I used to be but over the past couple seasons I've been paying a bit more attention.
I'm interested to see how the Foles trade pans out for them. Their defense 'should' surely be top 3 in the league with the additions of Robert Quinn, Jaylon Johnson, and Tashaun Gipson. Definitely filled some shortcomings on the defense. However their O-line still concerns me and the amount of attention they've paid to the TE spot bugs me. I know he's not a perfect fit for Nagy's offense but I'm hoping they figure out a way to pick up Warford after he was released by the Saints.
Calm down, take a few deep breaths. There’s an entire internet of porn and smokin hot chicks in yoga pants to repair yourselfMy eyes, my eyes!!!
So... Anyone concerned that the nfl is going to follow in the nba’s footsteps and turn into a contest to see who can out-sjw one another? I kind of am and am preparing a bunch of yard/house shit to do this fall
Sounds much more productive than wearing a t-shirt with an empty slogan on it.I'll have to see if I can find the article again but saw something either yesterday or Saturday about how Mike Tomlin and the rest of the Steelers team knelt in the middle of their field however, contrary to many other organizations, Mike Tomlin was leading them in prayer. Seemed like a little glimmer of hope for the league.
So 5-1, anyone have any thoughts? I guess the only thing I can say is just to reiterate what Foles said yesterday. It’s better to win ugly that to lose pretty. I’m still annoyed that the offense can’t string a coherent sentence together though
The offense does look better and it gives me a bit of hope that Foles was able to do enough against vastly better defenses than what Trubisky played against. I’m not necessarily concerned about RB, I think that is more dependent on the OL play. And the OL play has been average at best lately, soooo...
I’m kind of torn about the OL issue. I don’t really like the idea of building through free agency but this team is so close to being legit. Another problem is that the biggest need is to replace Leno and the only way to get a good deal on LT’s is to hit a homerun in the draft. I don’t think there’s anyone vital to the team that isn’t under contract or that we can’t get a deal done for so next year’s team will look almost identical. Hopefully the plan is to fight as far into the playoffs as possible, add some new OL blood this offseason and make a deeper run next yearAgreed, "concerned" about the RB position may have been a little overdramatic but I do think they need someone to help take some of the load off of Montgomery however I am optimistic about Cordarrelle Patterson's new rule in the backfield, but again, I'd like to see what Lamar can bring to the table, we could have a nice committee backfield with those three. I do agree that we definitely need help on the OL, more so now with Daniel's out for the season. I'm hoping that Pace is in the process of making some deals to get some help before the deadline comes and goes. I had my fingers crossed for Damon Harrison before Seattle nabbed him but last I heard he was only on their practice squad so Bears could still snake him away.

Dont worry, we will probably blow that 1st rounder on another bust quarterback.
The meatball fan in me wants to still say the first half of his first game in a bears uniform(prime time packers game) made the trade worth itLet's hope not however I will say trading our 1st rd pick for Mack was worth it.

Love Patterson. He is the epitome of a good teammate.
Ugh, what the fuck? Anybody think that game was a signature on Nagy’s walking papers?
Maybe, I hope not though. That will mean the OL is somehow worse than we thoughtAndy Dalton will get the shit knocked out of him Sunday night & Fields will be starting game 2.

City should buy Bears and sell shares to fans, alderperson says
Ald. George Cardenas (12th), Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s City Council floor leader, plans to introduce a resolution Wednesday to authorize a feasibility study on “whether it is practical and advisable for the city to pursue the purchase of the Chicago Bears.”chicago.suntimes.com
Lol, Fuck off.
I know this is an article about the absolute first steps towards asking the question of purchasing the bears. I don’t think it will happen, but if the city ultimately does buy the franchise I’ll be finding a new team -or- just forgetting about the fooseball altogether
