I was looking at election results in swing states and was disappointed to see that in several key races the libertarian vote for Jo Jorgensen was enough to make up the delta between Trump and Biden and keep Trump in office. Arizona, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Nevada are all close enough that the libertarian vote is more than the delta. The disappointing part is that most libertarians I have spoken with are much closer to the Republican party than the Democratic party. 1.74 million people wasted a vote either in protest or for a third party they knew couldn’t win.

Hey... she at least had a chance haha!

Sadly, I think ours is dwindling. Waiting for this “smoking gun” and all I keep seeing is speculation.

If there was a 50% rule similar to the one in GA. The top 2 would be in a runoff. Everyone of those states no one broke 50% so trump and blo biden would have to runoff !

The libertarians of the 1970s to the 1990s had actually been fierce Constitutionalists and advocates of the Founders' ideals... Those days are bygone now.

The current day "libertarians" have already been completely hijacked. MOST of them are hardcore leftists and open Communists. Those who are "pro-gun" are usually aligned with Socialist Rifle Association or Redneck Revolt... The most benign of those current day libertarians are those perpetually stoned neckbeards who say that they "don't give a shit about anything ya'll do", and are supposedly "against" gun control and AWBs, but they are usually so high out of their minds and always trying to score more drugs for their next binges that they do not, and cannot contribute ANY effort to the actual Patriot cause. They are merely useful idiots for Soros and the greater leftist/globalist agenda...

I wrote something about this in the thread about needing a third party. There is a specific caucus called the Mises caucus that is mostly made up of people who started following Ron Paul. They have gone from zero to ~20% of the lp votes in 2 years. They are all hardcore free market capitalists and entrepreneurs, so zero socialist leanings. If any of you want a real chance of returning to anything resembling constitutionalism, check them out

So, you're saying... Tupac... I mean Kanye. had no chance?!

It sucks that it went down this way, but it's pretty shitty to be angry at people who don't have the same opinion as you especially when it comes to voting. If Trump had won, Trump supporters wouldn't be angry at all.
Their version of tyranny is better than the other sides version of tyranny

This is what Dems are trying to sell with ranked choice voting.

Put enough chaff in the air no one will get 51%

When your choice is status quo, status quo, bat shit crazy and bat shit crazier, number two will typically win.

It's aimed at turning red blue.

Can we please have some truth in colors too.

Let's take back blue.

I do not like it as much as you but it is their vote and their decision. It would have been great had they voted for Trump but some people can't see past his demeanor.

Personally I would like to see the parties dissolve and candidates run on their ideas not the parties status quo. That is one of the things that drew me to Trump because I do not see him as a Republican but as an individual.

Many probably have never heard of Ross Perot.
Saw this as a big problem.
Does anyone think that the bumpstock deal was an accident?
Optics were pushed like a mofo.
People, on here, were warned the above would be the result.
Told the same to the folks I shoot with.
The numbers clearly show they didn't listen.
So yea, get fucked.

Proud libertarian here. Sorry the Republican party gave up on small government (increased federal deficits and spending), restricting gun rights (unilaterally redefining the term machine gun to ban bump stocks), some advocating red flag laws (one even said to take the guns first then going to court), etc.

I will say Trump's crusades to eliminate red tape and unnecessary regulations should be praised. I really wish he had taken time to do things completely by the book so they wouldn't have gotten struck down (DACA and the APA in particular). However they were largely unsuccessful.

I'm tired of voting for the lesser of two evils. It has only made the progression to the left slower when I want it reversed.

The Libertarian party is disjointed and unorganized, yes. But the hope is (at least MY hope) that Democrat or Republican parties will see a growing group that endorses expanding gun rights, legalization of victimless crimes, and smaller government and adjust their platforms accordingly to attract us to vote for their candidates.

Fuck you, snowflake. People are entitled to their own opinions- if you are too retarded to understand voting with principle over voting as a team effort, America really is screwed. That’s why we have such a swamp- dumbasses like you.

As Michael Medved calls them the "losertarion party" have been a problem for conservatives for years. A lot of them have really wacky ideas. I'm all for less government, especially at the Fed level but you're not going to get there voting for obvious losers.

You also can't get there in one giant step.
Jo was more than a giant step.
If we're very lucky a candidate like her could be achieved in 3 steps at least.
This ^^^ blew right by their decision making process.

Anyone who enjoys shooting who voted libertarian in this election flushed their vote down the toilet. Along with their gun rights. The time to take a stand on shaping party platforms is NOT when its freedom vs Satan in a presidental election! There was no comparison between what the Republican side offered this election vs the Democrat side. None. We have a two party system. You don't like one, change it. Primary elections are the time for blindly voting on priciples. Not the general election when everything is on the line.

Flame suit on. Any person who likes freedom and voted Libertarian on Nov 3 was a moron.

We are safer with Biden ,China doesn't have to attack us Biden will just invite them in .

Maybe , if Joe steals the White House, you'll can tell him you voted Libertarian when
he shoves crazy gun laws up your ass.

You mean like the golden calf trump outlawing bump stocks and giving a green light to red flag laws? If you think anyone in washington gives a fuck about anyone’s precious right to bear arms, you’re just as fucking retarded as anyone on the blue side crying “RACIST!”

Fuck off, if you fucking clowns hadn’t continually voted for “the lesser of two evils” for decade after decade we may not be in this mess

They could rip a page out of the left's
Play book and flood both parties with their candidates that might improve their odds at getting elected, god and Rush only knows there is a whole lot of "Republicans " that aren't and in need of
Replacement.
I'm a conservative not necessarily a Republican and a old fucker who doesn't
Particularly like communists and I'm
Sure the feelings are mutual.
Discussion is great, however you are on a gun friendly forum and should expect
A little resistance in your thought process, just saying.
By the way Mr. D did you VOTE?

HAHAHAHAAHAHHA. Seriously, libertarians want more freedom. So in a choice between some freedom, or a path to none, you abstain on principle, leading to the defeat of the freedom candidate. Brilliant work. Who is the ass clown?

Look at Minnesota. Not a swing state but had 9 candidates for president. WTF. Could have been a lot closer.

For real though LoL..

Fill out a ballot, wad it up and throw it in the trash?

Feels good?
