Leaders of a Massachusetts public school system are encouraging students and staff to file complaints against one another for telling rude jokes, referring to the “China virus,” and committing microaggressions or other “incidents of bias,” according to newly uncovered documents from the district’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

...and here i am calling my students "fucking retards" and openly blasting China for using slave labor and intellectual property theft in my classes....

i feel my days in academia are numbered

One could have fun as a gray man student or teacher. The accuser never has to prove anything, it's always taken at face value. All you have to do is decide who and how to get them popped by the gestapo.

What's mind numbing is the vast majority of the students and faculty will never see the irony or reality of their actions paralleled with the actions and beliefs from Germany, China and Russia in the last 80 years.

"where are you actually from" is a microaggression?? And here I thought it was learning about people who are from different places...my bad!!🤔
Nope. There is a subtle difference between...

    Where are you from?
    and
    Where are you actually from?

One allows the respondent to identify as being from anywhere. The other requires (using the conditional "actually") some amount of fact. This doesn't allow the respondent to identify as being from somewhere other than where they are "actually" from. Let's try it in a real world example...

    Can you swim?
This is just a normal question.

Can you actually swim? Cuz' I'm actually going to push you into the deep end of the pool.
    This is a microagression.

Here's another example to play with. Can you spot the micro-agression?

    "Do you feel lucky?"

    or

"I know what you're thinking. 'Did he fire six shots or only five'? Well to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, i kind of lost track myself. But being that this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well do ya, punk?"

Four seasons of trans-whatever and L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.+ (I have no idea what anything means after "Q") seems that these people are making up a new reality every day. They should just change the acronym to ABWSM - anyone but white straight males.

I think that's actually nit-picking speach patterns.... :ROFLMAO:

Just another example of Orwell's 1984 come to life. Been far too many to count lately.

Black folks are actually triggered if asked if they can swim.

    No, really

I heard some stupid bitch from Columbus, who started a rowing program for "underrepresented" kids in that shithole. say that

There is a reason I chose “swim“ specifically...

We all know the stereotype of blacks that cannot swim. It is considered ’ignorance’ to not know why blacks tend not to be able to swim. Ignorance is a considered a negative term, but it is literally ”not knowing.” Why does the stereotype that blacks cannot swinm exist? Because they tend to be from urban environemnts that are devoid of suburban amenities like public (and backyard) pools. The opportunity to learn to swim does not exist in this environment. Given the opportunity, blacks are just as able to swim as any other, but the stereotype exists. When someone says “can you swim” it can be translated as “are you poor ghetto trash from the hood?” That is the underpinning of a micro-aggression...

Is it a micro aggression to ask a Texas if they ride a horse to school? How about asking a white person if their great-grandparents owned slaves? Do ALL Arkansans marry their siblings? Why is a farmer’s tan called a farmer’s tan? Perhaps inocent questions, but context matters...

Maybe some people think way too much about this or read way the fuck too much into this.

If I ask you if you know how to swim, it's because I'm going to take you into an environment where knowing how to swim is important for your survival and because not everyone knows how to swim, for whatever fucking reason that I do not care.
