Its just different flavors of One China. Republic of China (Taiwan) historically always laid claim to whole mainland China as well. The Peoples Republic of China had same claims that have not changed an iota .
Lets just say if CCP somehow fell from power in China , Taiwan's Kuomintang and DPP would very much try to take hold of power on the mainland and National Unification would be the first order of the day.

Up until 4 years ago, all my vehicles were US manufactured. Yes, I know a lot of them are built with foreign made subassemblies. Nevertheless, they like to tout the “made in the USA” mantra.
Every one of those US made vehicles had problems from the day I drove them off the lot.
I’ve been driving a Toyota for the past 4 years without any problems.
You couldn’t pay me to ever have a vehicle “made in the USA” again.
A lot of people like to place the blame on the UAW for crappy domestic vehicles but don’t forget that it is the management that designs the cars and tells the workers what to build. There is a lot of blame to go around.

My luck with USA made vehicles has been a bit different. I don’t drive cars with the exception of our glow in the dark Miata (Made in Hiroshima) We drive Suburban’s The Dodge pickup that we sold to our son and he has since given back to us has almost 200,000 miles and yes it has needed and right now needs serious maintenance. It is at the end of its life. Our 1990 Suburban, purchased at 106,000 miles gave us almost 200,000 more miles with only a transmission and a couple of alternators. The Current Suburban has 276,000 miles, needed a transmission, and now the air is one dimensional (keeps the truck cool in the summer and warm in the winter but only out of the defroster vents up front, rear air works perfectly) So, we have our hops on a 2020 GMC pickup we just purchased new. At 73, not sure how many more I will need to buy, but I will look at USA first (unless a nice Miata comes up for sail)

Every Chevy, Ford or Dodge I've owned since 1985 had "Made in Mexico" all over it.
The '79 and '84 toyotas both had stickers on the bed behind the cab that read " Made in Long Beach, Ca., U.S.A.
