Rifle Scopes Opinions Wanted on the Bushnell Elite Tactical G2 FFP Reticle Riflescope, 3.5-21x50mm

Buy it - great value for the $$. While I don't think it is better build than my Nightforce, the glass seems like it is certainly on par. In a side by side comparison with a Vortex Viper FFP 6-24x50, I think it outshines it in internal, glass, and turrets. The Vortex may have it in design though.

Rifle Scopes What mount did you use on your 34mm glass?

I have had Seekins rings before and while they grab your scope well, they (because of their aluminum design) use much larger screws and block my horizontal adjustment knob. Here is a vertical picture of my last scope (now on a LRP) with Seekins rings. I ultimately ended up replacing them with...

Rifle Scopes What mount did you use on your 34mm glass?

I have some glass incoming with a 34mm main tube. I didn't think finding rings or a unimount would be such a pain, but it has been. I didn't want anything over 1.2 inches off the rail, and that seemingly limits me down to just a few items. So, what did you use. The objective lens is 50mm or...

Rifle Scopes vertical adjustment on a Bushnell DMR 3.5-21x50?

Am I reading it right, 50 inches of adjustment at 100 yards, which is 4 feet, 2 inches? I was kind of confused as it seems to read 14.5 meters at 100 meters right next to it. Assuming .34 inches per click, would I assume it has 150 clicks of adjustment? Bushnell - DMR 3.5-21x 50mm

Rifle Scopes Clarification on Scope Base

Right or wrong, I use like materials for the scope rings and base. I have marks on an aluminum base from steel rings, so that is why I have moved that way. That said, 40 moa may be too much depending on your scope. For example, a 40 MOA base combined with a scope with 45 internal moa (in theory...

Accuracy International AT vs. Desert Tactical Arms SRS - Need Help Understanding

Yes, I think you are missing the need for a second bolt for the AI AT because the 308 and 300 WSM bolthead are not the same. The DTA is set up to be a fully configurable system, meaning multiple calibers, multiple bolt heads, and multiple magazines. Built long, and works it's way back to 308...

Guys, I'd hate to do this, but what caliber should I rebarrel my long action AW for?

Just wanted to add that a 7LRM should stay supersonic with the 180 Berger Hybrid Match out to 1500 yards @ 55 degrees, 1300 foot elevation, 25% humidity. Given the fact that the slower burning powders seem to be in abundance these days, a 28 inch barrel should easily get you to low/mid 2800...

Guys, I'd hate to do this, but what caliber should I rebarrel my long action AW for?

First of all you should have an AW mag with an AW rifle, not an AICS. Secondly, You would likely have to have your bolt face opened by .002 to reliable allow the WSM and extractor to get around the rim. The WSM rim runs .5355, whereas the 300 Win mag runs .532. I understand from a few others...

Nosler 26. Is it the same as a 6.5 SAUM

Rumor was it was a Ruger 375 necked down to 6.5, with roughly 85 grains of powder to back it up. Rumor also has it with every 500 rounds of ammo purchased you will get a certificate telling you that you need a new barrel.

Tikka T3 Tac vs. SIG SSG 3000

I think a better comparison of the SSG 3000 would be the Tikka T3 Sporter. The only think I did not like about it was the magazine system, but I understand there are a few firms trying to come up with aftermarket mags systems.
