Problem with TRG & SOCOM Brake

Wow .005 sounds crazy tight! Shaving copper! Thanks for the reference. I've got the 26in barrel so maybe it's just more sensitive to harmonics and my SOCOM is just playing the wrong tune.

Problem with TRG & SOCOM Brake

DJ480, Do you mean the bored diameter of the brake holes should be .020 larger than the bullet? My bullet measured 0.307 and the brake is bored out to 0.329" = a difference of about 0.022. (0.011 on each side). Sounds like a brake change is in order anyway. Good to hear I'm not alone.

Problem with TRG & SOCOM Brake

Hey Everyone, I've got a TRG-22 with a Surefire SOCOM and it's looking like my TRG doesn't like this brake. Without the brake I manage 4 shot groups into 0.5 MOA (I can't seam to hold all 5 - I'm new at this). When I first got the brake I installed and timed it and torqued to about 25lbs. Went...

Does anyone know where I can find TRG22 mag rebuild...

Are you looking for OEM parts to repair a mag or an after market magazine built for the TRG ? After market TRG mags are non existent (at this time I think).

    Rifle Scopes TRG-22 Scope Upgrade

918v, I've got a Steiner 5-25 with MSR that happens be off my TRG at the moment. I'm in RSM (local). If you want to meet I could bring my scope and you can mount it on your rifle and compare. It's sitting in a Spuhr mount for a picatinny rail.

    PTR91 Build

Horhey232, ORD opened up a great can of worms. I learned a few new things as well. Don't feel you have to buy an AR if you still like the HK. I'm not saying don't get an AR, but that it's OK to want something different. SCAR17 maybe ? All the above info is dead on, but HKG3 platform is...

POF P415 Won't Zero Premier LT - Out of Spec Rail?

Not sure if the rings are separate or not, but if they are try reversing the rings - move the front ring to the back. Sometimes there are small inconsistencies in manufacturing.

    PTR91 Build

I used to have a williams set trigger for my HKSR9. It was really nice. It took the standard pull way down and made it short and sweet, but still combat safe. Then you could always "set" the trigger and have it even lighter for a specific shot. The nice part was that you could "un set" the...

New TRG-22 and First Day Range Report

Update to my bolt problem: Apparently, the safety works OK now and got worn in. I noticed that standard military 762 was fine, but the longer OAL of 175 FGMM was sticking. I didn't use the safety much at the range, and only in the beginning due to the thing being rough. Now that I tested it...

New TRG-22 and First Day Range Report

Thanks Rototuner. BTW, KRG is now working on their own rubberized cheek piece. They sell an adapted rubber version from another maker, but this new one is an original KRG design - so they tell me. I hope to reload eventually, but I sprang for the MagnetoSpeed now just as an excuse to...

New TRG-22 and First Day Range Report

Oinco, Thanks for cheering me up man! I'm still in a daze over the money. I need to get into a good long range class and join a local match. Even if I suck it will be more fun then shooting at the bench.

New TRG-22 and First Day Range Report

Turbo54, I like it when you say everything is good, but let me clarify to make sure we're on the same page. If my scope is roughly 2in above the bore axis and the .308 drops 3in at 100yrds, that means the bullet impact should be about 5in/1.5 mil low (assuming the erector is centered and...
