I was thinking that the SS 3x9 would be a good match for Savage model 10 precision carbine. Im looking for a starter rig that will be also be practical for deer hunting. I've read some good reviews for both but not for the combination. I'm looking for suggestions. Thanks

I just "won" one off fleabay. It was pretty much an impulse buy. Hopefully it will get some use deer hunting. I was wondering how a pack will ride with a full water bladder in the sleeve? I'm assuming anything with a frame would be a no-go. Or would a large butt pack attached to the vest...

I was wondering if it would be possible to mill a 20 moa slope into the extended savage scope base? Or ad a shim and bed the base with JB weld? Or just write it of as an air-soft accessory?

Re: Cupronickel, that is not a typo. Sounds like Monel. Its as I remember a "harder" metal than copper.
