I was thinking that the SS 3x9 would be a good match for Savage model 10 precision carbine. Im looking for a starter rig that will be also be practical for deer hunting. I've read some good reviews for both but not for the combination. I'm looking for suggestions. Thanks

I was wondering if it would be possible to mill a 20 moa slope into the extended savage scope base? Or ad a shim and bed the base with JB weld? Or just write it of as an air-soft accessory?

Re: Cupronickel, that is not a typo. Sounds like Monel. Its as I remember a "harder" metal than copper.

Re: best ultra light raingear I wear the pac-lite stuff under my hunting clothes when the weather gets hypothermic. It keeps my core dry and protects the rain gear from getting shredded or rustling.
